I often imagine what the world would be like if it were filled only with people that thought the way I thought, and behaving the way I behave.
Would this world be better than today's? Maybe, maybe not...
Am I allowed to think that it would be better off? Does that make me arrogant and, thus, render said world worse off as it would be full of arrogant people, thus, creating an oxymoron?
Or is it more noble of me to think that the world would not be better than it is now as I don't rate myself higher than the majority of the population...? But, still, a world full of such a nobility would be great, no?
My closing remarks at this stage of the thought exercise are that a world where every single person has the same thought processes and the same behavioural reactions is very much a digital world. Direct, predictable, non-human.
I don't know about you, but I am not keen to live in a digital world.
A follow on thought is that even in a digital world, there are both 1's and 0's, a yes or a no, positive or negative... There is always something/someone to challenge another's ideas/thoughts/behaviour. A simple glitch can turn a 1 to a 0.
Can a simple thought in this world change a person's thoughts in such a profound manner...?
The questions are endless...
