I've blocked you from being able to see me, to avoid fighting. Trolling my thread when you know you're blocked from my profile, is a bit silly. I'm sure we can both exist here without interacting. Hope everything is well with you, but let's not pretend to be civil.

Just focus on your own business. If you blocked me, good for you- you made one right choice. Now just try to mean it and give up trying to contact me. Move on....

The point of blocking, is to not have to talk or deal with someone.

I've just read your profile. One of your "non-interests" is "being your friend". Does that mean you don't intend making any? I'm asking because your profile comes off as wanting to push people away rather than draw them in to read your writing. Only my perception of course.

All profiles are up for interpretation, no harm in asking- at all. I have been here writing since 2008. I've left 4 times now, because certain people are relentless in contacting me. This is a prime example! Men on Lush tend to get obsessive, and I get uncomfortable. I made my profile VERY clear, in the hopes that it will keep some of the creeps away. It hasn't worked, I still have an inbox full of friend requests.

I don't plan on entertaining a "friends list". I like to come and go as I please, and keep my profile clean. Maybe that is a bit OCD, but I like it to look how I want it to look, not littered in porn and other junk. I don't think that is a crime. I will have acquaintances of course! I am a social butterfly and love general chat.

Above all... I am here to write! I don't think you need to have friends to do so. If the writing is well done, people will read it- unbiased.

"Who I am", refers to Jessica Jones- not me. She is a comic book superhero. I certainly don't mean myself, of course you don't know me. I'm not actually a retired superhero, or a private detective either... imagine that!

When I read Shannon's welcome post above, I have to admit that I also got the wrong message. when I read your profile I also thought "If you don't already know who I am we probably have nothing in common" was referring to yourself and I thought it sounded a little arrogant.

BEFORE anyone takes offence, I didn't say Jessica IS arrogant. It was that line alone that prompted my initial post in this thread. Jessica, some of us don't know you and we are unfamiliar with your characters so I can understand how others might see your profile as being a fan repellant rather than a tool to gather friends. I'm fairly sure there will be a lot of other members who will make the same mistake. It is not my intention to be rude to you Jessica, I'm simply pointing out how some could be confused by your wording ?

Obviously I'm not aware of how long you have been gone but Gav has fixed it so that we can easily deter those pesky boys. In your settings you can choose whether you want friend requests turned on or off, mail from friends only. You won't have any so you won't be pestered by any men. There will be no "ask blah blah to be your friend" on your profile and nobody else can contact you.

You are very sweet and thank you for being understand, also for your recommendations! I was aware of most of them, but not of others. The only issue I have been encountering is in the forums. Blocking someone doesn't keep them from contacting you here. Even after this "tiff" he has started on me in another thread today. I thought he was finished with me, I guess not though.

I don't mind at all discussing my profile. In fact it opens and prompts conversations.

Hopefully it stops soon, so I can just enjoy the site.
