I tend to like and leave a comment saying thanks for any feedback or comments left. Considering the number of views it is genarally only a few who do leave a comment so just my way of saying thanks for taking the time to both read and leave a comment. Receiving kind feedback or comment and hearing my words have benn enjoyed fuels my passion to write more.
I always take the time to answer every person who takes the time to read and comment on my stories. Their comment, good or bad, is important to me. Unfortunately, my story output has declined as first my job and now my recent marriage have taken up my time to a large degree. Hope to get back to writing though. I love writing erotica. Have started some competition stories but just haven't been able to finish them for one reason or another.
I thank everyone who comments. If I can track down who scored me either by adding my story to favourites or starting to follow me at the same time the score is left I send them a thank you. I don't get many scores so it only takes me a few minutes but I appreciate someone taking the time to read what I've posted.

I respond to every comment left. I appreciate people taking time to do so, plus it's fun to interact with those reading your stories. I like knowing my creativity had an affect on people so I aim not to neglect my appreciation of their appreciation.
I always try to make sure I thank someone who leaves a comment on my stories. I personally consider it a simple courtesy that I've acknowledged that they've taken the time to read, comment and hopefully enjoyed what I've written.
I always try to reply to comments on my stories. I feel it's the least I could do. Occasionally I will email an author(friend) to talk about our stories and ideas.
I love reading the comments people leave, so it only seems polite to reply to them.

The ability to reply to a comment directly under the story has been a godsend. Even with my limited readership I found it difficult timewise to respond to everyone with a wall post or PM. As many have said I really appreciate it when anyone makes the extra effort to post a comment on a story and always try to thank them via a reply comment though I'm sure I've missed a few. For the more prolific writers or those with a huge following I have no idea how they keep up.
If I comment on a story I have no expectation of a thank you but it's often fun to read replies to comments I make.
Mostly I just try to be chill about votes, scores and comments.
