I have written another slightly subversive (one Very Important Person said "brave") story for the current competition. Here it is:
Soeliram
Here are some comments from readers:
"Such a fantastic job, Grush... Brilliant. It’s good to read a story with deep feeling and deep meaning... Awesome."
"Wow, this was beautiful, Grusha. So haunting. You took filth and grime and beauty and tenderness and created something heartwrenching."
And my favourite:
"I REALLY enjoyed your story, and thought it was wildly original and moving. I gotta be honest, I'm really competitive, and I hesitated reaching out to tell you, because I'd like to win the comp, and I think yours is the best story in the comp... Good luck."
Now isn't that sweet?!
Finally - to take the focus away from me - I would like to give a shout out for dolphinman's entry:
Quid Pro Quo
I think dolphinman is an unjustly neglected writer here. His writing is strange, quirky - breaking all the rules of "good narration" such as one is taught by The Experts - but I think it is utterly brilliant, startling and original.
Have fun!
Grusha
GrushaVashnadze's best stories:
Alison Goes to London (RR) - “A unique - and uniquely filthy - work of the imagination... Consider me sold.” (Jaymal)
The Cursed Cunt (RR) - "holyyyyy sheeeiiit.... Your writing is fucking fantastic" (CarltonStJames)
Snow White and the Seven Dildos (RR) - “Absurd genius… Brilliant.” (StarBelliedBoy)
Metamorphoses (RR) - “Your cultured filth is such a treat and the craft in this is sublime.” (CuriousAnnie)
And the rest are here.
