As promised, Chapter 2 of "The Postulant's Tale" is online and ready for you.

It's called "Hand Relief" and the sexual content is starting to build.

Historical Note

Readers will notice references throughout the story to the “canonical hours”, the daily routine of prayer which all the nuns follow. These are as follows:

Matins (night-time)
Lauds (early morning)
Prime (first hour of daylight)
Terce (third hour)
Sext (noon)
Nones (ninth hour)
Vespers (sunset/evening)
Compline (end of the day)

The three major hours were Matins, Lauds and Vespers; the minor hours Terce, Sext, None and Compline.

The daily routine of the nuns would have followed the rhythm of the seasons, so the times of these would have been governed by the time the sun rose and set, rather than strictly by the clock.

Thanks to everyone who's left such kind comments on all chapters of "The Postulant's Tale", especially the final one, which resolves Abigail's dilemma in what I hope is a satisfactory manner.

Of all my Lush stories, I think this one might have had the longest gestation period. I started writing it back in 2015, for a competition with the theme of "Historical Stories". But I didn't get much beyond planning the arc of the story and writing some of the first chapter. I quickly realised that the story I wanted to tell would take more than the 5000-word limit for the comp, and I didn't want to rush it. So I put it on one side, and tinkered with it on and off from time to time. At one point, I had about 5000 words written, but had second thoughts about how I wanted to reach the conclusion, so it got put aside again.

Then towards the end of last year I had a burst of activity on it, and got it more or less completed. Then, although it was finished, I decided not to post it straight away, but keep it until I'd finished a couple of other stories I was working on. In the end, it turned out to be the final one I posted to earn the "Omnium" Badge, for a story in each Lush category. Only six people before me have achieved this milestone, so it was nice to finish with a flourish, all six chapters on six successive days (and thanks again to the mods who made this possible).

500,000 profile views and an "Omnium" Badge (plus a competition 3rd place). Not such a bad end to a very weird 2020 after all.

The last month has been a bit frustrating, story-wise. I've started several (including two for the comp that didn't come off) and then suddenly I had a little day-dream that cried out to be written down while it was still fresh.

I've written a story for the new "Quickie Sex" competition, which I hope you might like to have a look at.

It's a gruesome little "Monster Sex" tale called "Vanessa Fucks the Tentacle Beast" and I hope you enjoy it.

Why a "Monster Sex" story? Well, I've already written a few fun stories about different sorts of "quickie sex", including one for a previous "Quickie Sex" comp in January 2014. So this time I wanted to try and think of a different twist on the theme. I'd been thinking for a while about writing another horror/monster-themed story, so I began wondering if I could write one for the competition. I then had the idea of writing a story about someone having sex with a creature that's been imprisoned in some kind of research facility, with the "quickie" element determined by the time available between security checks.

The main challenge, it turned out, was in trying to tell the story within the very tight 1000-word limit. That's not very much for a story that could very easily include an awful lot of plot and scene-setting. In the end, I had to trust that my readers would be willing to fill in the background themselves, using the minimal information I had space to give them. I hope it worked.

The final element was named the main character "Vanessa", in tribute to that great Lush writer of erotic horror, vanessa26. I messaged her first, to check she was okay with that, and thankfully she was delighted with the idea.

So, Vanessa, I hope you enjoy this gruesome little tale, especially the ending. I had two ideas for this, and I hope I picked the right one.

I've just been plugging my old story "Satanic Seduction" via my "Status", so I thought I'd post a link here as well.

It's an undervalued gem, in my opinion, and that distinguished Lush writer Grusha Vashnadze has described it as "My favourite naughtyannie story of all time".

Even as an entry for the last "Seduction" competition in 2014 it sank without trace, though interestingly the winner of that comp, Liz, commented "Fantastic! Oh I absolutely loved this. What a clever, twisted tale you weave. Really good, well done. Best of luck in the competition, Annie." So it can't be that bad!

When I was trying to think of an idea for a story for the “Quick and Risqué” competition, I came up with several ideas that I rejected. One of these, while not my final choice, seemed too good to throw away completely. It’s still quite short, but at least I was able to go over 1000 words.

Hi Annie,
Like you I've wondered if there was any way to increase my readership. There are so many stories and so many good writers, that just reading alone is a huge challenge. But my ego wants to be stroked, I want to hear from readers, or at least note that my passion for writing is being appreciated. I've tried in forums to include the link to my stories, but, in true, it is foolish in the busyness of Lush and its many features, to hang ones hat on promotion.
I am not the prolific writer that you are, but do have the motivation to work toward a novel publication. I have one more story, "A Gift at Christmas" that I am submitting as my last on Lush, at least for a while. (My biggest problem is I love to read so much that I too often neglect writing. So I'll be reading regardless.) So now I must go read "Wet Mountain" to round out the day. Love you Naughty, keep enjoying sex and giving us your best stories.

I’ve been a bit quiet on Lush recently, so apologies for that. Real life has been getting in the way, I’m afraid.

Even so, I’ve managed to finish a story for the new “Spring Forward” competition, which has just gone online. You can read it here – Turning Terry | Lush Stories

This was one occasion when I really struggled to keep my story within the word limit. 4000 words really wasn’t enough, and I’m still afraid that some of the characters aren’t as fleshed out as I wanted, and some of the plot has ended up being a bit rushed. As each little section progressed, I kept wanting to say more, but the word-count just inexorably crept up and up. And of course I needed to leave space for a proper dirty sex scene – this is a “NaughtyAnnie” story after all!

I also wanted to provide a twist on the usual “finding your sexuality” story, which tends to be “straight person discovers their gay/bisexual side”. It would be fun, I decided, to turn that convention on its head. And finally, there is a bit of a serious message behind the story, which hopefully gives it a bit more depth than some of my other straightforward filth.

Oh dear, I hope that hasn’t put you all off! Please read and vote, and hopefully it’ll get a bit of extra attention as a comp entry.

Sadly, my competition story didn’t make the Top 10 this time around. I’m not entirely surprised, as its slightly off-beat subject matter (an abusive gay relationship, which leads to a gay character restarting their life by turning straight) isn’t an obvious subject for a “Lush” story, and may not have resonated with the judges.

To be honest, it was a bit of a step outside my own comfort zone, but I think it is a writer’s duty to challenge themselves, as well as their readers. And I’ve been encouraged by some of the very positive feedback I’ve had from readers, who seem to have appreciated what I tried to do.
