I've got faith in you! I'm not kidding about the numerous rewrites I had to do on my ending. Not to mention a tweak here and a tweak there. Hell, I came in with less that 50 words to spare. I hate cutting it that close, but in the end I'm very pleased with my final result and I'm very much looking forward to reading yours.

Good nervous, I get it. It's all about the camaraderie of competing against the community of writers here. Your chances of winning may go down, but your chances of being read increase greatly. It a good solid supportive network of folks here, and we're all helping each other.

I agree with verbal about the camaraderie. I don't ever expect to win, but I'm always happy for whoever does. Mostly, I just enjoy the challenge and inspiration of writing to the prompt, and being counted among the other writers.... Oh, and the woman in the picture for this competition... She's nice.

Wow! The more I read of the comp entrants... the more I don't envy the judges. I swear each story gets better and better and I fear my chances are getting slimmer and slimmer. If only my stomach and thighs could get slimmer instead.
