Actually, Facebook is not the only site with "like" buttons...for instance, you can go over to this page on Amazon and hit the "like" button...

There are really quite a few sites with "like" buttons, and the functionality sort of varies to some degree depending on the site...

There's nothing Gav can touch in the forum code. It's out of bounds.

I'm not keen on the lush button, people who aren't familiar with the site will have no idea what it's about. Nice button all the same, whoever made it!

People are lazy, that's just the truth.
Giving them an option to share their opinion with the click of a mouse, might convince them to actually share it instead of just leaving.

I DON'T CONCEDE WITH THAT IDEA, FOR IT WILL ONLY MAKE CERTAIN PEOPLE BE ALIENATED IN THE VACANT ROOM IF WE TEND TO DISLIKE THEIR OPINIONS IN THE FORUM AND WORSE, THEY WOULD LEAVE THE LUSH BECAUSE OF SOLITUDE IF WE'RE GOING TO HAVE THAT LIKE AND UNLIKE BUTTON. it might be nice to be able to like a friends photo i feeel obligated to comment but may not have something potent to say so a like button of some kind on friends pics might be handy.

I think that it's not such a bad idea to have it on ones profile(for pictures, playlist, videogallery, friendscomments).
Since Lush loves to be customizable for every person's enjoyment I think that having like button on/off option would be rather neat.

Good idea?
