A mutual friends 'counter' or 'indicator' when looking at new profiles. IRL, we tend to become friends with people we share mutual friends with. When doing name searches on Facebook, below the name it will say '3 mutual friends' and give you the option of knowing which people are friends with both parties. I occasionally look up names of those I went to high school or college with. If there are 5 'John Doe's' listed and one of them says 11 mutual friends, I can be pretty sure that's the John Doe I'm looking for. Also if a profile says 6 mutual friends, there's a good chance we all share at least a few common interests. Just an idea.
I don't know if this has been opted before but here are just some thoughts I discussed the other day with some friends...
I noticed that some days stories are up longer on the front page then others.
Would it be an idea that the Home Page for Lush can just be modified to show only the heading details of new submitted stories? Show only the comments, vote buttons, the title of the piece, the one-liner below it, the genre, the avatar and member name. Then link it to the actual location where the piece is kept so it can be read. This would allow at least triple or quadruple the number of submissions to be shown on the home page and for a much longer period before they are booted to secondary pages. It would also allow members to track their authors and story genres faster.
Also, is there a way to have Lush do an automatic title search when a member submits a poem or story? I've noticed that there are a lot of pieces with the same name or title and it somehow seems like it takes away from the original posters. The new submitter would then be asked to re-title their piece.

I think this idea has merit. The biggest exposure a story might get is its time on the home page, its unfair that some would get short changed due to the efficiency of our story mods!
So the way I would do it would be as new stories are verified, they are allocated a display date whereby the last story on the page has been on the home page for at least x hours. My only concern would be we get more stories per day than the allocated display time. Say we let a story have a guaranteed time of 24 hours, thats 25 (25 stories per page) new verified stories per day. Anymore will get queued up for the next day, creating a snow ball of stories.
@ She: It happends now that stories dissapear from the front page within 6 hrs. While at other days stories are there nearly a day. I am positive that a minimum amount of hours can be found that give the writers a tad more exposure then that without queuing the system.

Given that most stories posted are based on fantasy, I'm curious as to why there are limits as to what we can write. For example, some people are completely turned on by scat yet its not allowed. Personally the idea makes me sick BUT if there was a section for it then obviously I'd just avoid that section and/or the stories. The same goes with graphic violence and such...its just a story, a fantasy and many books are published that are very graphic. Again, if there were sections for these things people could avoid them if they weren't interested as they do any other subject they might not like or agree with.
Can i suggest we add a "couple" option when registering ? i've come across quite a few profiles that are listed as "male" or "female" and in the description go on to explain that they are a couple.
Also, in the search, instead of drop down menus, having check boxes so you could run a broader search.
Audio stories should be made from all the written stories. And those who have good way to telling stories should give voice it in.
It would be really cool if we could choose not to see some people on the forum, they can show up as guests or something. The block feature should extend to the forum too.

can we get a drop down menu on the active members page to report them for obscene profile photos? also can the block feature limit who we see on the active members screen as well? just something i wish for =)

Plus... There was no pop up that said "are you sure you want to delete friend?" It just deleted it...
Required confirmation before actioning would be better.
