I have a sentimental attachment to IHOP. It's where I pulled all-nighters in college. Also, I just like saying "Rooty Tooty Fresh 'N Fruity".
I'm lucky to be in a city with privately owned diners, though, so I do try to go there.
Norm's - only in So Cal.
Very honorable mention to The Lamplighter: there once were three, but now I believe, only one, in Chatsworth CA, so it doesn't qualify as a chain anymore, but the pork chops will stay on your mind for days afterward (and the broasted chicken!).
Wouldn't you rather have a nice cup of tea?
Cracker Barrel's alright.
For me, it's a toss-up between Denny's and IHOP. Kinda depends on what city you're in as to which is better.
Don't believe everything that you read.
1. Huckleberry’s
2. Black Bear Diner
3. IHOP
From the choices provided, I would have to go with Denny's. My order is going to revolve around how I want my eggs cooked and they seem to do the best while having the best options.
Outside of the choices provided, I would go with either Perkins or Shari's although both of them are relatively similar to Dinner albeit more focused on the dinner menu than the breakfast menu.
I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?
I'm the "Hope in the wall" type of place to eat. Always the best food, service and attitude
I love Huddle House the best but followed very closely by the IHop!
Hmmm... good question. My husband and I usually stop at Denny's most of the time. IHOP has an excellent breakfast though so if you someone who doesn't mind having breakfast for lunch or dinner, IHOP.
I have to go with Cracker Barrel. Consistent all over the place and a great variety
None. We don't eat out. If we travel we take our own food to fix along the way.
Whilst touring the West Coast with some Czech people they kept wanting buffets where you could eat as much as you like. These were mainly Chinese places. After a surfeit of such fare I searched for an alternative and found a chain called The Golden Corral where they had many varieties of U.S. food - not just the stereo type fast food places. So I have fond memories of those places as it shows the U.S. does not subsist on only various types of heart attack food. I wonder if they're still around?
