actually there is, CK!

There are "wild" salmon .... and "farmed" aka fisheries that pool an area and "raised" salmon like chicken farms.

The difference of taste is astounding!! The wild tastes amazing, whether it be a Sockeye, Coho, Spring .... but the farmed salmon is "fishy" tasting. I believe it has something to do with their exercise, water filtration and diet.

As a West Coast gal, I'll take the freshly caught wild salmon ANY DAY over the farmed salmon. The Wild Salmon needs virtually no seasonings nor accompaniments .... Buon appetito!

That's because they've been over fished. To me and most culinarians(foodies), that's not "real" salmon.

Well, one must remember, Lush is an international website, with members world-wide .... you may not know if things (such as "wild" salmon) is a luxury there, or if it is the norm.

Kiki's comment of wild salmon would indicate to me that she bought it in the same labelling as "organic" ... something that was not "raised". Certainly better tasting!

Besides, there was no need to make fun of her comment, like she was stupid.

Hey! Since I live in the United Snakes I should be offended. Pay noooo attention to the fact that many of us will be buying our dinners out the driver's side window and wolfing down good old sodium laced, artery clogging, blood pressure pumping delicacies we can eat one handed while steering with our elbows and writing text messages at the same time.

And sorry, Kiki, I hate to be the one to break this to you, but salmon is really a novelist from India. Geeze.

Aaaah I thought I recognized some Hindi before I wacked it in the oven!! It was WILD!!! Didn't understand it though I'd forgot the lemon, so I soured him up a bit, that made him stop
back to regular programming *said in the BBC voice*

Tonight I am thinking of making a ham with scalloped potatoes (for those who don't know what that is you may know them as something similar to "potatoes au gratin") and a big salad with tons of veggies and some nuts in it!

Bon appetite!
