So happy that Spain is now one step closer. For the first hour of the game I thought Portugal was definitely the better team. They had amazing defense. I was surprised to see that Ronaldo didn't throw himself on the ground so much today. I kind of felt bad for the goalie....sitting on the ground crying at the end of the game.

And I'm getting nervous already. The Netherlands hasn't really played one of the high ranked countries in the last 2 years. I think they played friendlies against England and Italy, both ended in a draw.

I'd like to see Paraguay win, but I think Spain will prevail. Germany vs Argentina is too close to call. Argentina was sort of my second choice behind Brazil, but I really don't want to see Maradona run naked, and you know that will be making the sports highlights if it's happens.

Ghana deserved to win. I think handballs on the line like that should just be ruled a goal and a red card given. There's no question that it was going to be a goal if the player hadn't used his hand to block it. Why make them convert a penalty? It makes sense to shoot a penalty if the player is fouled in the box because it's not clear if he is going to score. It's an old rule that enables anti-football that FIFA should consider changing.
Tomorrow I think Germany will beat Argentina but it's going to be close.
I think Spain will beat Paraguay. Paraguay is probably going to wait for Spain to lose the ball and counter the whole time. They're going to have to get lucky on the couple chances they get and have a perfect defensive game to beat Spain.

For football lovers a World Cup final between The Netherlands and Germany would be the best. NL versus Spain would be the 2nd best thing.
The reason I don't pick Argentina is because they haven't shown much team spirit so far. It's a bunch of individualists and even though they've got some excellent players I much prefer seeing a whole team fighting for each other.
Besides, if Germany is in good form like they were against England then Argentina will have a very tough job. Especially Heinze.

This game can go either way really. I think the team that draws first blood will win it.
The other semi-final is my Dutchies vs Uruguay. Uruguay will play defensive like Paraguay and hope to score on a counter attack. Going to be another tough game. I hope my Dutchies pull through.
