When commenting on a story, I am more respectful as I understand that no matter a writers skill, they are doing the best they can. Insulting their work is simply hurtful and accomplishes nothing. If I simply hate the story I wont vote or comment at all.

When I do, I try to point out what about it I found worthy of praise.

Rarely, ill find a writers that might benefit from advice, but I won't make that public. I'll send a pm and I've received those from others making the same kind of observations.

But always, I respect the craft.

When I had a career to protect, I kept my identity a secret. Now that I'm retired I don't give a single shit who knows what Im doing here. That why I use the same photo here as I do an Facebook.
