I'm a lifelong Ohioan. My sibling had a teacher with a poster in the classroom that said something like, "Friends don't let friends go to/root for Michigan." Also, same sibling attends a church that has a get-together the day of every Michigan-Ohio State game. That said, I've only attended one college game I recall (decades ago), & it wasn't for either of those schools.
Also, I was a Cowboys fan for years, then followed the Steelers the last few (Tommy Maddox from XFL, as I was also a WWE fan). Now, I may not watch that either.

So excited for the season to start..From Thursday to Monday!! Watching my boy play under the lights on Friday nights! It's truly the most wonderful time of the year!!!
After a lifetime of watching the NFL, of playing FB through HS and being damned good, I can no longer watch the game. The NFL has lost its credibility and appeal to me.
Howard Cosell wrote a great book about what started at his time and has grown greatly since called, "I Did Not Play The Game."
