Shoes on or off in the House?

I saw a Subway Takes questioning if guests should take off their shoes your house. Where I’m from in Florida, most people don’t. Unless obvs they’re dirty. Just curious about you guys, and maybe it’s by region? Comment if you want to name the region!

We either take them off and go barefoot/stocking or have some kind of indoor footwear to change to. Keeps the dirt in the mudroom and doorstep.

Depends on the situation. If they are sexy and part of the outfit, leave them on, if not likely take them off.

off. we each have a pair of slippers at the door and a few pairs for guests. my son's BFF heve brought his own pair.. that kid practically lives here

Shoes off children’s father was from Europe.

It actually saves your carpets.

Chinese are the same. It was my Chinese wife who got me into the habit.

If you don't want to go around in just socks can always slip on slippers.

Most of the time I have shoes off. Any guests I leave it up to them. Not something in life to stress over.

In Norway, we remove shoes always when entering home and do the same when visiting others. Similarly, guests always remove their shoes without being asked 🇳🇴

We don’t wear shoes in the house. But if guests don’t take them off, we just let it ride.
