I rarely get time to sit and read novels but I've made time recently and just finished reading Before I Go To Sleep by SJ Watson. JWren recommended it to me and it was indeed an excellent read

I read The Murder of Roger Ackroyd recently and it was so-so until the ending, which is probably the best in detective fiction*.



* DISCLAIMER: I have no idea if it is, but I like superlatives.
