Some Tarantula keepers don't like to use the word 'Pets' to describe them but I consider mine as pets.
1st pic is a Grammostola Rosea or Chilean Rose - Pretty docile creatures. Ideal for beginners
2nd pic is a Lasiodora Parahybana or Salmon Pink Birdeater - Quite manageable.
3rd pic is a Brachypelma Hamorii or Mexican Red Knee - Another quite docile creature and ideal for beginners.
4th pic is a Pterinochilus Murinus or Orange Baboon - Nicknamed an Orange Bity Thing by the 'T' community because they can be aggressive and will bite. A bite will almost certainly mean a trip to A & E
for an antibiotic injection and the pain and swelling will last for many days afterwards. I can testify to that!
Very easy to keep -Terrariums in warm room; regularly topped up water dish and a diet of crickets and mealworms.
Also very good for getting rid of unwanted guests. Putting a terrarium in the lounge if you know the mother-in-law is paying a visit ensures she doesn't outstay her welcome!
