I haven't been around for a minute, so wanted to let you all know that I have published my first story in almost 5 months. Hoping everyone's good:

Hmmm… Here it is Tunes-Day and Lion seems to be sleeping in.

And I've been busy elsewhere.

Oh well – let's kick things off and see whether the bread falls butterside down, shall we?

Lights are on, andnot flickering! Lady Dryad has cleaned up and we’re ready to rumble.

Tea Kettle is refilled and ready. There are pots of Red Rose and Irish Breakfast teas available on the sideboard, plus all the other fine teas in the box. Sachets of Swiss Miss are available, along with the usual mound of mini marshmallows.

Big Bertha has been cleaned, rinsed, and refilled, and sits ready.

Today we're using Black Bear (Ours Noir en français) beans from Muskoka Coffee Roasters.

I've put out donuts.

Let's hope that Lion lights up our lives with some tunes, eh?

I've spent most of the day trying to write my competition entry while sitting in the middle of a rather noisy building site. 😳😕 The renovation work on our house and garage is now well and truly started. 😊

Just hoping it does not rain, as there are currently several places with no roof. 🙄😳

Off to the Shaw Festival to see Cole Porter's "Anything Goes", one of my favs…

Beyond The Matrix (2025)

What's not to love about Epica? Fantastic musicians performing sweeping, epic symphonic metal fronted by a hot redhead with a voice that can melt hearts. Her name is Simone Simons, she's a Dutchie, like many of my current favourites, and she has been singing in Epica since she was 16 (she turned 40 in January). Their latest album came out a month ago and it's a thing of beauty, not my favourite album of 2025 but damn close. Of course, I know now that we might be getting a new solo album from Simone's friend and one-time roomie Floor (*swoon*) Jansen before the end of the year which would shift my list significantly.

Good evening. I am at crossroads. I need to do another pass at my alleged comp entry and deep in my heart, I know it is a good story. So good, I am not sure I want sex in it. It would make a wonderful, sexy without being overtly erotic, magic realist teen romance (they're 18-19, don't worry). But then I no longer have a comp entry. I could write the X-rated version, enter it, and then when I fail to so much as crack the top ten, which is pretty much inevitable for my work anymore, publish a 16+ rated version on SS (or somewhere, I'm losing faith in that site). That version would also not be constrained by the comp word limit so I could flesh out some plot and character details that I don't have room for in the X-rated version between the 4000 words limit and the need to use a chunk of those words for a sex scene.

We shall see.

Screw the donuts (and take that anyway you want). I've put out (and you can take that as you want, too) buttecream cuppycakes, with some set aside for Kat, plus some of Kimmi's buns – in case she wanders in after her Orlando Adventure.

Not sure if anyone else is having the problem, but the latency of the Lush website seems to be getting much worse for me. I'll start typing, and nothing will appear, – then it catches up to me. Makes it hard to type and correct.

Anyone else noticing this?

I would guess it's a problem backstage. Hope they're aware of it.

Haven't had any issues of late other than the downtime a few days ago. Seems fine now. The odd time I have issues it is usually the crap LTE around here. If I am on Wi-Fi, all is well.
