Hi, Rumpies wave

Headed on Twins Gone Wild trip in the morning. Got my head back in a good space. Dad’s beyond sad and in particular his loss of control of bodily functions is hard on everyone. Just gotta stay strong for him. It helped me writing and publishing on SS about us. Helped me come to terms with us never being able to have the close relationship I had with Mom.

Anyways, enjoy rest of the Month of Love!

Writing contest in SS runs through St Patty’s Day, if interested. An eclectic bunch of entries so far!

Love you all! See ya in March.

Please feed and pet Butters while I’m away. smile

And play with the toys in Storeroom 4. biggrin

Have a blast!❤️

Twins Gone Wild

Sounds like vintage 90’s porn. 😂

Happy Thursday, folks. Doing another quick fly-by for anything that has caffeine. Lots and lots of caffeine. ☕️

My latest stories:

The Summer Tour - A chance encounter between two strangers draws them into something impulsive.

My Wife’s Birthday Present - A simple birthday fantasy arranged by a devoted husband quickly takes a sharp turn.

Unexpected Maintenance - A single woman, a broken appliance, and a very attractive maintenance guy. What could possible go wrong?

overview of the win over Canada

Canada lost to the USA in the women's hockey gold medal game at the 2026 Winter Olympics. The final score was 2-1 in overtime, with Megan Keller scoring the winning goal for the US. Here's what happened ¹ ²:

- Canada took an early lead, with Kristin O'Neill scoring a shorthanded goal in the second period. They held onto the lead until the final minutes of the game.

- Hilary Knight, the US captain, tied the game with just over two minutes left in regulation, sending it to overtime. Knight's goal also set the record for most Olympic goals and points in US women's hockey history.

- In overtime, Keller scored the winning goal, securing the gold medal for the US. The US team went undefeated in the tournament, winning all seven games and allowing only two goals throughout.

The game was a closely contested matchup between two rival teams. Canada's captain, Marie-Philip Poulin, praised her teammates' efforts despite the loss, urging them to take pride in their silver medal win. Poulin had missed the final two games of the group stage with a knee injury but returned for the quarterfinals

Congratulations Americans!! Close game well fought. Now on to the men's tournament. Semis are tomorrow with Canada meeting Finland and the USA meeting Slovakia. So another Canada-US showdown is a possibility though one can never rule out the Finns. They love hockey almost as much as we Canucks.

The flags are all at halfmast today. The nation mourns. I have decided to wear black until we are redeemed once more. A sadness has set into my soul that I cannot shake. 😢

Throughout the years, we have made various adjustments to our facilities to make it more handicap accessible, but there was one large milestone we could never quite get past: making the parking lot and entrance to the barn wheelchair friendly.

We are 100% wheelchair accessible.

Have a fantastic girls' trip, Kimmi. 😊 I don't know about it being the month of love over here; it's been a month of rain, some places having had rain at some point of the day for the last 50 days in a row. 😨

A mug of Yorkshire tea, please, Bear... it is what I am drinking in real life. Thank you.

What's this "real life" stuff you're talking about, David?

Have fun, Kimmi – and, as always, don't do anyone I wouldn't!

I'll make sure the Toys are fed and watered while you're away.

Some of the others can look after playing with them.

And good morning Lion! Thanks for kicking off Friga's Day for us!

Too bad about the women's hockey. It was a close run thing, but… the world don't pay off on a nice try.

At least the Canadians made 'em sweat.

So what plans has everyone got for the weekend?

A good friend of mine is a leading advocate and expert on built-accessibility.

One of her favourite comments is that we will all need accessibility at some point in our lives, as we are each of us likely to be disabled in some way at some point. Her graphic makes the point rather well.

Congratulations, Lion! Glad to see it!

Don't worry, Bear, real Yorkshire tea is not as good as the Yorkshire tea served at Rumpee's. 😊 Erh, can I have a mug of Yorkshire tea, please, Bear? 😜😈

Congratulations on the wheelchair access, Lion. I had a look online at Warhorses for Heroes. What an excellent idea and programme. 😊

As someone whose brother is in a wheelchair, it never ceases to amaze me how inaccessible the world can be for people with mobility issues. Bless you for all you have done to change that in your space. 😘🥰

Tomorrow is the big fundraiser for cancer research that I’ve been working on with a group of amazing colleagues. Looking forward to a successful evening! We have a bigger venue this year and there will be more people.

No gym today. 😎 Maybe I will actually have time to finish a longer story. 🥰

Thanks David for taking a minute to source the page, our organization has grown from helping veterans to now also first responders too.

The "simple" ability to get to the stables helps both horses and people to connect its a beautiful sight I say

No, there's probably a lot here in Canada who watch just the hockey games and otherwise don't bother. I enjoy figure skating and watch other sports out of interest or curiosity but I am hardly glued to my set

I get you. The Olympics has its moments but I liked it better before it became just another cash cow with pro athletes. Something got lost there somehow. One wonders what better good the billions of dollars could have done elsewhere.

Well if nothing can be said that Rumps is 1000% support the ability to enjoy free speech. It's a 250 year tradition here in the USA

🇺🇲

To "dove tail" and yes it's also about the Winter Olympics.....

Alysa Liu Defies CCP Intimidation, Brings Olympic Gold Home for America

Team USA triumphs where freedom beats tyranny.

In a stunning display of skill and courage, 20-year-old Alysa Liu clinched gold in women’s figure skating at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics on February 19—America’s first individual women’s singles gold in the discipline since 2002.

Her flawless free skate to Donna Summer’s “MacArthur Park” delivered a career-best performance, landing every jump and securing the top spot on the podium with 226.79 points. Japanese skaters took silver and bronze, but the spotlight stayed on Liu: the joyful, unapologetic American who chose Team USA over pressure from Beijing.

The backstory hits harder. The Chinese Communist Party was furious when Liu refused to compete for China. They sent operatives to harass and intimidate her and her father—an outspoken anti-CCP activist—right here on American soil. The FBI uncovered the plot, warned the family, and shut it down. Liu spoke out publicly about the threats, stood firm, and skated for freedom.

Contrast that with athletes who bent the knee to the regime for cash and fame. Liu picked principle over payoffs—and still dominated the ice.

This isn’t just a medal. It’s a rebuke to tyrants who try to silence dissent, even abroad. Alysa Liu didn’t just win gold—she proved that loyalty to America and the pursuit of excellence under liberty still crush authoritarian bullying.

Proud to be American and having the freedom of thought & speech. And BEFORE anyone howls she a skater, watch her programs on ice and tell me I'm wrong! her skating IS her way of free speech!!

🇺🇲

And there zero need to wear "asbestos panties" because the ageold rule that Rump himself set long ago, Rumps Bar is a "no panties" zone

Groan. Looks our break from winter is ending. After a couple days of rain and even thunderstorms, it is now snowing. And I have to go outside. Back to ye olde parka.

Seeker, you need to move further north; the colder temps minimize the snowfall. 🤣 Well some years anyway.

I know where I’ll be on Sunday Morning and it likely won’t be in Church. 🥅🏒🇺🇸

Hmmmm speaking of Sunday could it because .....

The U.S. Men’s National Team has advanced to the gold medal game at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, where they will face Canada on Sunday, February 22, after defeating Slovakia 6-2 in the semifinals. The team, featuring stars like Jack Hughes and the Tkachuk brothers, is seeking its first gold medal since 1980.

🇺🇲

Road to Final: The U.S. defeated Germany (prelims), Sweden 2-1 (quarterfinal), and Slovakia (semifinal).

🇺🇲

The U.S. has secured its first medal in men's ice hockey since 2010.
