And I'm back.
Sorry for my – hopefully inconspicuous – absence. I've been deeply immersed in working on the book.
I keep finding more things to include. I'm going to have MAJOR issues with trimming to get it down to 95,000 words.
Sort of like a comp on steroids!
And I've been on a roll, so have been trying to keep my muzzle to the grindstone while I'm hot. I'm working on Chapter 34 of 39, so I can almost smell the end heaving into site – and to hell with the mixed metaphors!
Now, lessee…
Kimmi, so sorry you got shingles. They are no fun from what I've heard.
Jay's dad got shingles, so when we heard there was a shingles vaccine, we immediately got innoculated. And then a new one came out, so we went back and got that one, too. The vaccines are not fool proof, but they improve your chances of dodging that particular bullet.
Lion, glad to see you back here, and causing trouble! I know we can count on you!
I've got coffee perking in Big Bertha – Maxwell House – plus Yorkshire and English Breakfast teas in pots on the sideboard.
Donuts, naturally.
And some chocolate éclairs.
Plus Coke Zero in the cooler, of course.
Meanwhile, I'm going to mosey into Store Room #4, and see if Kat needs any help with ice.
I'm kind of an expert in that area, y'know.
Take care out there, 'K?
