I think your original question has already been answered, but here's something I still can't understand: how a sewing machine works. As far as I can tell, it's impossible. Possibly black magic.

The thread goes both behind and in front of the spool. So, is it just held aloft by sorcery or something? I mean, it can't be some kind of super-high-tech electromagnetic technology that holds it in midair, because sewing machines have been around for an awfully long time.
Similarly, what's moving that rotating hook that catches the thread? As far as I can tell, it can't be attached to anything or it won't work.

American politics. Very different than here in Canada. And, from what I see and read, there are many reports of some sort of criminal activities of Clinton, plus the extremely outrageous views of Trump. It seems to me to be more out of a reality TV show or something. Maybe I am just not understanding how this whole thing works! I don't understand how either of these people might be president.

i do not get it. boycotting a whole country for you "belief" system, especially a country like Israel is counter-productive. and they choose only what they want. if you want to boycott Israel you can't use your computer or cells (chips and software made in Israel)

Why people are prejudiced, and refuse to work on it. Not "I accidentally made myself sound prejudiced" or "I can't keep up with current terminology because [insert legitimate explanation here]" . I'm talking about the real thing.

I've overheard that it's an educational problem, that if you explain things, pre-judging will disappear. I don't think this helps with otherwise reasonable adults.
