And marrying a landed born Canadian is still the fastest way to citizenship.

The reality: we have 4 distinct seasons, summer temps are often in the 90's; a bad winter can be harsh but we're tough so we just go about our business; Canada is no more socialist than the US other than our social programs are typically more generous and we're the most highly educated country on the planet. I live in a small town but we have world class science facilities and our technology is used all over the world including by NASA.

M&M Mars is here as well as Campbell's Soup, Cadbury, Marcal paper products, and Johnson and Johnson. We also have our own iconic foods such as pork roll, hoagies, tomato pie and salt water taffy. We are the only state that does not pump our own gas.

Well we all live in igloos and ride in dogsleds everywhere we go. Of course, it's perpetually dark so we never know where we are going, but that's fine because there is absolutely nothing around us but polar bears and caribou. It is always unbelievably cold here too so why would ANYONE want to live up here?

I just saw this. I'd guess there is truth in that, possibly driven by available jobs in the field. On the other hand, Los Angeles, California has the 4th largest Canadian population of any North American city. We export a lot of the smart ones for the benefit of all humanity.

I agree Dallas isn't friendly. I graduated from North Texas in 1988 and we hung out in Fort Worth because Dallas was such a cold city.
