You know that saying, "If wishes were horses, beggars would ride." A lot easier to wish but very difficult to accomplish.
And now he's using taxpayer money to distribute his propaganda in violation of federal law. That part about "defending the Constitution", which means defending US laws, doesn't seem to have a place in his so-called mind.
I have long felt that, especially this term, he sees the president as an elected king and tries to behave like an old style absolute monarch, not a wussy (as Trump would see it) constitutional one like Charles III and other modern Western monarchs.

And I first introduced Kate as a university student whose first time kind of sets the stage for her new story.

Unfortunately, our current Supreme Court is doing everything it can to enable him to be "king."
Besides being guided by a patently unconstitutional core philosophy that repudiates the Ninth Amendment (without which, I will remind you, Jefferson refused to consent to the concept of a "Bill of Rights," lest it be construed as a strict enumeration of our God-given rights), this Court very much supports the imposition of religious law upon the country. The very repeal of Roe was the direct result of these two bullshit philosophies dominating the Court.
Put another way, not only are they not guided by the Constitution, they have already started imposing Sharia Law. Alito and Thomas are, at least, fully transparent about this, Thomas even admitting he wants to take it further by banning contraception too.

Well, no, they are imposing a conservative/fundamentalist Christian interpretation of the Old Testament Jewish laws. Sharia is Muslim and comes with it's own set of values and baggage. Every Muslim will tell you they follow Sharia, but there are many diverse interpretations and understandings of what that means from the fundamentalists in Iran and Saudi Arabia to more liberal ones like many North American Muslims. And Christians and Jews are very much the same with the Old Testament laws. So you can't say they are imposing "Sharia" or "Biblical" laws. It's much more specifically a fundamentalist understanding of those laws. IOW, please don't judge a religion's value system and religious practice based on the most extreme interpretation of it. In the end, this is on the Supreme Court justices for choosing to bring their religious values into a secular courtroom, not any religion.

Bravo!!! Excellent description of the intersection of law and religion.
I agree with much of what you said, Seeker4, but I use the word "Sharia" broadly, covering the secular imposition of any form of religious law rooted in a variant of (at least) an Abrahamic faith. If anything, I'm using the term more faithfully than the conservatives, who mostly have no clue what it means. Nor do they particularly care. It's just a dumb, blunt rhetorical tool. See "communist," "socialist," "radical left," etc.
Although it is not consistent with Christianity as *I* see it - and I am a Christian - many the states are having success in imposing some of the laws of a vaguely defined conservative variant of Christianity, an imposition which SCOTUS has approved and a religious variant to which at least three of the Justices publicly subscribe. The degree to which these laws are actually defined in Scripture is immaterial, and near as I've heard Scalia still eats lobster and cheeseburgers. The state actors in question are still carrying out what they see as God's Will, of which there are (as you pointed out) widely diverse interpretations.
I certainly do not judge Christianity as a whole by these extremists. I'm an enthusiastic Christian myself. I believe that Christianity and the Bible do not condemn abortion, explicitly or implicitly, nor do they even call upon everyone to be sexually conservative and perpetuate traditional agrarian values like women as chattel. I believe that God's Will is for us to be peaceful, loving and kind, recognizing each other as instances of God's greatest creation, and recognizing forgiveness as the greatest gift we're given. I strongly believe that Christ's teachings, love supreme among them, support women's self-determination and everyone's sexual freedom.
Bottom line: however (in my view) misguided and possibly borderline heretical, the religio-political conservatives are succeeding in imposing their version of what they see as "Christian" doctrine, so I stand by my Sharia Law claim.
