Well, in that case, it's not *that* bad of a dry spell.

Are you kidding? Before that it was 1991! Now that's a dry spell.

you're my hero. or heroine. the non-drug kind.

LOL As long as I'm not your pot!

EDIT: That was a terrible joke. In fact....

jesus Christ. just throw me outta the bar. FIVE FUCKING POSTS!

I need a Hannah as well as a lemonade.

I'm so fucking embarrassed. Any mods around here? SAVE ME!

There you go... all cleaned up. smile

Now that I'm drunk with power, I'd like to be drunk with liquor. I love dirty martinis but only if you leave out the special ingredient. Can I have a clean, dirty martini please?
I won't be happy until I fall over forward!

(I'm on the left, shooting for those on the right....)

But I like long elfin songs!

Going to give it a read right now.

(whispers: i'm so grateful they made the lord of the rings into a movie) *Hides*

Thank you for giving it a try.

Interestingly, in terms of famous women who happen to be women writers, I was going to mention her mother, Mary Wollstonecraft.

An extraordinary woman and a late 18th-century feminist who wrote A Vindication of the Rights of Woman (1792) amongst many other things.

Her fairly short life is so fascinating, that it's difficult to choose a short example. But maybe being so interested in the French Revolution (especially in terms of women's rights) that she decided to live in Paris during the thick of it might count as a good one!

You took me back to college! I read A Vindication of the Rights of Women then and remember loving the author's story. Now I must go Google.

What's a good Google drink? A Godfather?

Geez, lots of topics to cover.

I had a similar experience where a writer woke me up to the possibilities of story. Shirley Jackson. My sister came home from school sna d said "You have to read this story!" and handed me The Lottery. Still my favorite short story of all time. It was the first time I thought, a writer wrote this. They sat down and thought it up and wrote it down. Ms. Jackson changed my life.

My wife introduced me to The Lottery. It's still my favorite.

sounds like a good story. Will you do your usual research for the sake of verisimilitude?

I don't know if I can afford to! I may just have to have the experience and make it memoir. ;)

An interesting question. There are so many.

The answers are limitless.
Ella Fitzgerald, one of the best voices ever.
Jane Austen, one of the best novelists ever, all the more impressive for essentially being one of the first to write what we might think of as modern novels.
Frances Oldham Kelsey, headed the FDA and refused to approve thalidomide despite considerable pressure until it had been better tested. Integrity.
Katharine Hepburn is up there for me. Just watched one of her older movies recently (Holiday), and as I just about always do when I watch one of her movies, I fell in love a little. Not so much her appearance, or even her acting ability. both considerable. But you get a sense of a sort of fierce intelligence and glittering sense of humor in all of her roles.

I am currently having a love affair with Judy Garland. She's amazing. Hepburn made me think of her. Thank you!

#4 Judy Garland!
The idea of hiring a woman for sex is intriguing. Not an on-line chat or session, like this. Certainly, I don't need anyone watching me masturbate.

However, a real-life experience with an anonymous other woman... I can see that being a turn-on. Plus the illusion of control when it's your money on the table seems exciting. Of course that assumes I know she isn't being trafficked, forced, or abused.
Favorite deceased historical woman? Without repeating Rumple's....

Probably at the top of the my list should be Harriette Tubman. That woman was amazing.

I've always loved Laura Ingalls Wilder. I have her series and it's falling apart. So I have a second copy of her series, just in case.

Emily Dickinson is another. Not her poetry in particular, though it is wonderful. But her letters?!

I would like a drink. It's afternoon, right? Is any of Buz's JD left?
I started a series!

It's called Virgin. Whore. Mother. Queen. The first part is here:

Virgin. Whore. Mother. Queen: The Virgin.

It's fantasy but please don't let that stop you. You don't need to learn another language. There aren't going to be any long elfin songs. I promise there will be no quests.

It's the story of a sixteen year old virgin princess and her arranged marriage to a mysterious, somewhat magical, man from a isolated country. The first chapter is mostly sexual tension, but the next chapter is going to definitely be tension release.

for anyone who gives it a try.
Hannah, I would never try to seduce a straight girl. Certainly not one who writes wonderful reluctance erotica. Never. Ever.

Oh, an RRR! I'm holding up my cup for a clink. Thank you for reading it, especially if fantasy isn't your thing. The next chapter should be longer and sex-filled.

EDIT: A RRRR... hell yes!
Yes.

But, I'd insist on being in the room with them. I'd love to watch but I wouldn't like to peep.
I've committed to a four part fantasy series about a girl in an arranged marriage. This is the sort of writing I cut my teeth on when I first started with erotica. Magical sex and kinda humans.

It's up now. And it got a RR. I couldn't be more pleased, because it's plot-heavy and sex light.

I have the whole plot planned on the back of an envelope. Scribbled it down in a burst of, "That would be fun to write."

I finished my Hannah. I think maybe a tea to follow?
I've been writing and lurking. I now have a story in the queue and I will be lingering, waiting for my approval. smile

So, while I wait, A Hannah, perhaps? Just to sip on.

Personally, I think M. Ali was one of the best hockey players of all time. Him and maybe Julio Cesar Chavez.

What? No George Foreman?

I watch Sidney Crosby skate and I'm in love. He can make other hockey players fall down just trying to keep up with him.

I'm having a dry Saturday night. Tea? I may have cookies with me.

I knew this dude was in for it. lol Definitely not good thinking on his part. But, let's not get too carried away? I mean, he didn't actually post a picture of his dick (admittedly, maybe he couldn't since he hasn't had enough forum posts yet) so, no one actually was forced to seeing his dick if they didn't want to see his dick. Secondly, you had to actually click on the forum link to see his dick, that wasn't there, then click another link. If you don't want to look at random dicks, don't click. He didn't (presumably) put his dick in anyone's inbox, forcing you to see it when you opened the message.

I'm pretty sure he learned his lesson and won't do it again. If he even sticks around. Possibly a future paying customer/member to Lush has been run off for good.

True enough.

vsmdsm, you have a lovely penis. You'll get more and better attention if you fill out your profile.

I do hope you stick around.

I'm only sticking around if there is hockey on...its the playoffs for crissakes....the World Series (that involves exactly one non-USA entry) is like 140 games away or something..

Rum for me please

Burquette: do you have any naughty stories involving hockey?

You know, I don't. I have my competition winner, which was about ice dancing.

My wife, who is an excellent storyteller in graphic novel form, has this whole concept for a project around a female hockey player. I think that's probably the reason I've avoided going there, even in erotica.

Is there Bertha yet or should I start some? There should be some Irish cream left. I intend to apply it liberally.

hey, did you see when lebouchard went 5-hole on the goalie? that's what i'm talking aboat, eh!

Yeah... on second thought, stick with baseball. ;)

I didn't click either, but I guess it's probably a willy.

Your t-shirt made me giggle btw.

I think you're right. Now, I'm waiting to see if he'd like a thumb assessment.
Oh, God. Baseball. I thought this was a hockey bar.

It's Friday. I don't have to work until Monday. Something strong and not too sweet. (I said 'thing' and not 'one')
Actually...just occurred to me.

I didn't click and the T-shirt is not an invitation to... anything.
