Interestingly, in terms of famous women who happen to be women writers, I was going to mention her mother, Mary Wollstonecraft.
An extraordinary woman and a late 18th-century feminist who wrote A Vindication of the Rights of Woman (1792) amongst many other things.
Her fairly short life is so fascinating, that it's difficult to choose a short example. But maybe being so interested in the French Revolution (especially in terms of women's rights) that she decided to live in Paris during the thick of it might count as a good one!

Geez, lots of topics to cover.
I had a similar experience where a writer woke me up to the possibilities of story. Shirley Jackson. My sister came home from school sna d said "You have to read this story!" and handed me The Lottery. Still my favorite short story of all time. It was the first time I thought, a writer wrote this. They sat down and thought it up and wrote it down. Ms. Jackson changed my life.

An interesting question. There are so many.
The answers are limitless.
Ella Fitzgerald, one of the best voices ever.
Jane Austen, one of the best novelists ever, all the more impressive for essentially being one of the first to write what we might think of as modern novels.
Frances Oldham Kelsey, headed the FDA and refused to approve thalidomide despite considerable pressure until it had been better tested. Integrity.
Katharine Hepburn is up there for me. Just watched one of her older movies recently (Holiday), and as I just about always do when I watch one of her movies, I fell in love a little. Not so much her appearance, or even her acting ability. both considerable. But you get a sense of a sort of fierce intelligence and glittering sense of humor in all of her roles.

Personally, I think M. Ali was one of the best hockey players of all time. Him and maybe Julio Cesar Chavez.

I knew this dude was in for it. lol Definitely not good thinking on his part. But, let's not get too carried away? I mean, he didn't actually post a picture of his dick (admittedly, maybe he couldn't since he hasn't had enough forum posts yet) so, no one actually was forced to seeing his dick if they didn't want to see his dick. Secondly, you had to actually click on the forum link to see his dick, that wasn't there, then click another link. If you don't want to look at random dicks, don't click. He didn't (presumably) put his dick in anyone's inbox, forcing you to see it when you opened the message.
I'm pretty sure he learned his lesson and won't do it again. If he even sticks around. Possibly a future paying customer/member to Lush has been run off for good.
