Mad Magazine started waaaaay back in the 1950s with satire aimed at the youth. As a kid I actually subscribed to Mad Magazine in the 1990s and very early 2000s and loved it. My love for reading Mad's demented humor helped me to battle dyslexia.

It's very sad that Mad Magazine is ending.

Did you read Mad Magazine? Are you an Alfred E. Neuman fan?

It's Saturday morning! Hot coffee and ice cold Bloody Marys! Who has the donuts?

Cheers, y'all!

I ran in The Peachtree Roadrace this morning. It is the world's largest 10k race. It was hot but fun. Thousands of runners and thousands of people lined up in the sides of the street cheering us on. I made sure l ran through all the water sprays. That felt good.

So, l am firing up the grill (in the shade) to grill hamburgers and hot dogs for a bunch of folks hanging at my house and splashing around my swimming pool. Lots of beer on hand.

So, Rumpy and gang, y'all have a tremendous 4th of July. Happy Independence Day! Yes, to all my British friends, too!

Cheers!
A lot of women love it as part of rough and rowdy, sweaty hot sex. But make sure she is into it first. And if she is, don't be surprised when she calls you names right back while scraping her fingernails deep into your back.
Have a great Fourth of July - Independence Day!

I'll have the ice cold Sam Adams summer lager with Jack Daniels, please.

Giving your money to the community and the needy and poor is all good, but it seems like you're really taking it to the next level when you give your personal time and labor for that.

Happy Canada Day!

It's miserably hot here. Like 80F. I'm working tonight, because of course I am. Anyway, I wish everyone well.

HAPPY CANADA DAY, NEIGHBORS!

It gets into the 90s F most days here, and will into September. The humidity that we get makes it worse, but then l've grown up with it. We run our ACs non-stop.

I put up my American flag for July 4th. I meant to do that weeks ago. I'll leave it up on my house until Sept. 1st, when l put up my Georgia Bulldog flag.

Thursday, l'll be running in the world's largest 10k, The Peachtree Roadrace. Pool Party afterward.

I think l'll have a chilled cabernet sauvignon to help me get sleepy.

Y'all have a great evening!

JEN! Congratulations and Thanks! You're Awesomeness wrapped up under a rainbow umbrella!

Jen is a tremendous mod!!!

And l heard she wears a itty bitty French maid outfit when helping Nicola with the housekeeping.

Domestic beer: Sam Adams makes some decent brews. Sweetwater Brewing in Atlanta and Terrapin Brewing over in Athens close to UGA, make some very good beers. There are several brew pubs in my region making excellent craft beers.
Don't wear a white shirt while eating chocolate ice cream.
Linguine shrimp alfredo and ice cold beer.
There are still some of my friends' comp entries l need to get to. That's my agenda. Hot black coffee, strong, but not quite as strong as that coffee Rumpy probably grew up on down on the bayou. A couple of Bloody Marys would be nice, too.

So, y'all have an awesome Sunday.

Rumpy, it looks like another of our SEC foes took the College World Series crown. The danged ole Vanderbilt 'Dores.

Well, my Braves are back up to a 6 1/2 game lead in the National League East. Go Braves!
Thanks, MJ. You're an excellent Lushie, and very much appreciated. I just added your story, parts 1 and 2, to my reading queue.
Barbecue baby back ribs, southern sweet cole slaw, Brunswick stew and crackers, toast, and sweet tea.
When aliens from outer space first arrive they often have an attitude. As you can see, this one scoffs at immigration policies.

But once they get used to things, they seem to adapt well...

Fried chicken strips, white rice and cream gravy, cream corn, steamed broccoli, fried green tomatoes, cornbread, and sweet tea.
Is this a corny question? Corn works well being stalked.
Chinese beef and broccoli, fried rice, wonton soup and fried noodles, and hot tea.
AC is an absolute must in my neck of the woods. It's a good day for ice cold beer!
Congratulations, Trinity! Thanks for working hard and doing a great job!
Yes, they are silly, but then there are thousands of silly events going on all around. It's a big world and lots of people are into outdated silly things as well as new silly things.

You won't catch me at a beauty pageant, nor a dog show, but l might attend a wet t-shirt contest or a frisbee catching dog competition.

I'm good with people having freedom to attend silly events.

We can add bodybuilding competitions to the list of ultimate silliness.
I need to go on a story reading binge and catch up. I hope all in Rumpy's are appropriately buzzed. I'd like to start with an ice cold Sweetwater Ale followed by straight Jack Daniels.

Go Braves!
Two chili-cheesedogs, a bag of baked chips, a fried peach pie, and sweet tea
Of course at university, in the mid 2000s, we had plenty of internet porn, but the free stuff was the small, short mpegs. Most guys would pick up Penthouse, Playboy, and the other nudie mags, and plaster their walls with the centerfolds.

One popular thing in the dorms, was to place the centerfold strategically so the light switch would poke through between the model's pussy lips.

Lots of porn cd's were passed around the dorm, and there was still some with VHS cassettes. Of course, all this was comon at the frat house. But we had lots of women constantly hanging around the frat house and at night the thin walls did nothing to mask all the sounds of real sex.

Every now and then you'd hear of someone getting in trouble trying to access porn on the library computers. Duh? Like who'd do that? It'd be impossible to hide.
Das Boot was an excellent WWII movie made in German and subtitled in English. It was from the German submariners POV. Maybe a WWI submariner POV movie. Certainly being on a submarine in WWI was even worse than WWII, except for the fact that German submariners in WWII had a deathrate of around 70%.

I'd also like to see a high-budget quality movie made from the Native-American point-of-view on The Trail of Tears or just before that in their losing legal struggle to keep their lands and home. They were far from the savages so often portrayed by Hollywood.

The Cherokee had their own newspaper printed in their language and many were very successful, and owned plantations, living in large antebellum homes. Several leaders of the Eastern tribes had been educated at Yale and Harvard.

And a high quality new movie based on Wild Bill Hickock would be cool.
