Where I lived and graduated high school in the early 2000s we were somewhere in between, but that 2007 is definitely the 2017 where I live now and where I grew up. My family is dominated by educators but most are either retiring early or thinking of changing careers because public school systems do not have the teachers' backs. They are afraid of the students and no longer have authority to control classrooms and fail bad students. It's a very serious problem and growing trend.

You're right. Knowing he had himself hospitalized because of the millions of little beings in his elbow. But he is a pretty good actor. Really, Hollywood stars are the weirdest. If you remember back to your college days, the drama majors were the strangest on campus. At my university, even the art majors joked about drama majors being strange. And the art students said all their nude models came from the drama department.
I love mobster movies. The Departed, The Godfather parts I & II, Goodfellas, Casino, Wiseguys, etc. All those are too close to call for me. I loved 'em. And have thoroughly enjoyed many more. And I used to be hooked on The Sopranos.

Awesome game last night!
The pitchers are saying that the baseballs are juiced and have been all season long. This was a record homerun year and the postseason and Series have seen record homeruns. And really, just from watching on TV, the balls are exploding off the bats with extra velocity in my opinion. So maybe the balls are juiced.
By juiced, they are probably made a little too tight at the manufacturers. Every so often that is tested and adjusted. In the past seasons with record homeruns have been tied to the balls made with a just ever so slightly tighter winding of the interior string. A looser winding and the balls may be hard to hit deep.
I know major league baseballs used to be manufactured in Haiti. Is that still the case?

Bill, I'm just blown away by how good my Dawgs are playing. And I'm grateful the Falcons eeked out a win today. Your Saints are looking good right now, and you're Bayou Bengals have turned their slump around and look like the LSU everyone is used too.
I'm watching The World Series, and it's a good one tonight so far, all tied up.

Last night's game was close until the very late innings when the Dodgers bats caught fire. That grand slam sealed the deal.
So the Series is now tied at 2 games each. I'm pulling for the Astros but just enough neutral to want 7 games and down to the last inning if not extra innings. Make it it a nailbiter. Love me some baseball.

What a gorgeous day of loooong touchdown runs from scrimmage and the Gator QB getting sacked by the Dawgs! This game was a total domination beat down. And it sure did feel good.

The Houston crowd was very loud tonight as the Astros took Game 3 by a score of 5-3 over the LA Dodgers. Pitchers were throwing some serious heat tonight. The Astros are up 2 games to 1. But as World Series so often go, there is a lot of baseball to played. It would really take something to top last year's Series between the Cubs and the Indians for excitement.
Neither of these two teams are my favorite team but I've decided to pull for the Astros.
