Either restriction doesn't bother me. I have too many friends and I often delete people from the list. I'd like to interact with everyone on the list but time and general disinterest doesn't allow me to. If the activity feed was limited I wouldn't miss anything as I normally use mine just to see if my friends have posted stories.

I've never had a problem with my S3 and my Note & S4 are performing perfectly at the mmoment. Most people who have difficulty with the S are those that try to put custom kernels and such on them.
Sounds like the Nexus 4, Droid DNA, or the HTC One are your best options. I almost bought the HTC One.

I would encourage everyone to be patient, there is quite a large amount of data that is in some sort of migration. We may be without the timeline, old messages and other things directly related to data population for awhile more. Full functionality will return as the process ends.
