Absolutely not. It's something that we all think about, if not struggle with: how to keep the profile high for our stories once they slip into the back catalog. With the site growing the way it has recently, that's happening quicker than ever.

The suggestion to create a forum signature linking to your story is the best advice, in my opinion. "PM blasts" are a polarizing way to go about it, as witnessed by the above reaction, and she's far from alone. Ideally, the story catches the reader's eye on the front page, and even if they don't make time to read it right then, seeing your forum signature will jog their memory of it, creating a long tail effect. As mentioned, being a visible person on the forums helps with views for all of your stories in general.

But in the end, unless you're lucky/skilled enough to earn an Editor's Pick or create one of the highest-scoring stories overall or by genre, the story views will slow to a trickle. The only way around this? Write a new story. I know, easier said than done!

That is my struggle, I don't write fast enough. I'll be working on that.

I'm a firm believer (now, anyway) that the PM blasts get deleted by many. I love the blogs of my friends for getting information out. Do that and stay visible in the forums.

I am most likely to read your story if a I see you mention it on your blog (if we're friends), or if a friend suggests I read it. I rarely look at the front page stories if I want to read.

As Dirty Martini has just found out (sorry), I cannot abide PMs that advertise a new story. I hit delete.

If I see your name around (which I have), I am also more likely to check out your profile, and scan your published stories. I quite like to see picture banners (if they're small) in your signature, and if I like it, that's another push to check out your work.

As Gurlyboy says, you need to work for it. I think you've made a good start.

Shameless self promoting plug: Does that mean you've read my new story?

all these years later and i still have bad dreams and i wake up like it was yesterday. i hope that you and your perfect wife and your perfect job and your perfect life and your perfect home and your perfect smile get hit by a giant train and dragged across the continental US with it's cattle guard jammed into your crotch and i hope your balls explode and heal and explode over and over, every 10 minutes until the pain drives you crazy and i hope that donkeys dance on your face and ant crawl down your throat and scorpion crawl up your ass and i hope that your cock falls off and i hope that you live to be a million and that you suffer like that every single day of your life knowing it will never ever end and i hope you think of what you did to me the entire time.

No, not all of us have this trait.

I would almost certainly look at you and keep it moving. However, I've never been the nuturing type and I don't like to ego stroke men. I may do it from time to time, but it is not something ingrained in me.
I think I just had a grammar induced orgasm.... damn intelligence and wit, I should give you a kiss.
with my strap on and her on her knees...doggy style
Somewhere dear girl, there's a minute man just for you! You'd owe him thirty seconds though...

Seriously, do you WANT to cum in 30 seconds?

I don't understand people always asking for cheap. If your toys are cheap, it makes a statement about you and how important you consider them and the people you might use them on. If money is tight, buy one quality item instead of a bunch of cheapos. Get real quality leather, not synthetics. Get quality metal, not cheap.

I'd like to own these...

Do moderators reject grammatically incorrect stories? Or do you have to correct them?

We have the option to reject the story or correct the story. It is at our discretion and often we will correct them if the number of errors are small, too many errors and most of us tend to reject.
I'm too high not to laugh at this thread! OMG, Guest & I go a long way back. I'm used to him being at my side, I call him Chester. Chester is a good friend of Lush, he's just an introvert; doesn't get out much and thus doesn't really interact. But Lushland is his home...
