Good evening all, quiet end to my late shift, so I will have some tea and a delicious looking brownie.
A bank holiday and no rain Curvy, climate change perhaps? A cooler day in Sydney but the last week has reached into the twenties every day and the spring flowers continue to look gorgeous.
Now that my story is published (and thanks to the regulars here who have said such nice things about it) I am working my way through the other entries. Started with those who have read mine and have really enjoyed them so far. I just love how the competitions bring out such a diversity of approaches to story telling.
I am late to the discussion on cats, but the pic of a cat attacking a baby bird, Ping, is troubling. The general policy in Sydney is that cats should be kept indoors, particularly at night. Local government is starting to introduce cat curfews and many more cats are now kept indoors permanently. All domestic cats are registered and micro-chipped, which allows for the trapping of feral cats. This is all designed to protect the nest sites of birds, mostly parrots in our case. I think over time this will be legislatively enforced and outdoor pet cats will potentially become a thing of the past.
Congratulations and well done Chris.
And a personal vote of thanks for you help and support moderating some of my stories. You are a star.
Annie
Now I know Susie and Curvy don't think of this as winter, but it was 25 degrees in Sydney yesterday; flowers particularly azaleas are in bloom and it is just gorgeous.
Enjoying a pleasant relaxing Saturday afternoon, having put my competition story to one side for a day or two. I have to do some serious editing as I am 500 words over. As usual I haven't read any others and won't until I finish mine, which hopefully I will do next week and therefore avoid TTT's icy glare reserved for latish submissions.
I could be tempted with a white wine or three.
Oh yes V, most of my stories include someone, or something that has been said to me, on lush. Oxford Street is the main exception to that.
HYE - found out you have been lied to repeatedly on Lush
Just the right time to drop by. Above, does this mean we get to write together?
Jumping into your pool, away from the down under winter
I would love a drink this Monday afternoon. Perhaps a G&T to focus me on writing ✍️.I have my kink worked out, now to put a story around it. Funny thing about this bar. The time it records is NZ time, so we Aussies feel behind the times. I can almost hear Laura saying... well no need to supply Trans-Tasman banter, it is a comedy staple around these parts.
Ah nothing says true love louder than writing together. Susie if you were virtually invisible doesn’t that make you a sprite. And what does that mean, a cuter accent when we are tasered. Good that you were outside the day of the Irish ☘️ summer.
Well that is all for me, I think spring has sprung and the flowers ? are in bloom.
Two tellers of tales and one cat tail, great threesome
The drinks look so delicious, but sadly at 8:30 on Wednesday morning it is a tad early for alcohol even for an Aussie Lushie.
So coffee for me. And to let you know how I have been keeping myself busy this winter, giggles.
A flash from down under, for a second time in a week,

And for those that missed the first skirt swirling flash, here is another glimpse,

Two little flashes that deserve your full attention, one lusty and one a touch sadder.
What was that Rump ... oh I see.
Apparently, smoothing down my skirt so it just covers my butt, the Notorious competition is over and the usual public morality rules apply.
What are they Rump? Heaven knows I had thought morality was in short supply around here, more watered down than the drinks.
Oh I see Rump, you say it is an Occupational Health and Safety rule.
The sight of a young (that is a kind thing to say to a 30 year old) lady's (charitable, but not the most accurate thing I have every been called) thong-less (Translation for the Antipodes: Rump doesn't mean bare feet) nether regions is too stressful for the hearts of the those nursing their whiskey and dreaming of days long past.
Another coffee for me and then there is work to be done.
P.S. Rump if there are OHS rules what about 7-up's beep-beep taser!!
Morning all, another cool fine day in the South. Even more spring flowers around which makes this my favourite time of the year.
Coffee for me, as I want to spend a free hour of two this Monday morning writing. And if there is cake well count me in.
Also trying to catch up on the stories I missed when on holiday and then reading all the contest entries. So many to choose from and not enough time.

Morning all, coffee for me.
All this talk of hot weather, it is still cold down our way, 20 degrees but at least it is fine. And oh joy I have seen the first daffodils camellias and azaleas of spring. Summer is coming.
I did keep myself busy yesterday, and as a consequence I am flashing the bar. The story link is below, and as always thanks to Curvy who always seems to draw the short straw and moderate my stories. She is of course so lovely that she says she likes it.
There is also a poem, a sad one for me, written on the weekend when I realised a friend had seemingly left lush without a word.
Afternoon all, just taking a break from Saturday gardening. Yes weeds still seem to grow in a Sydney winter. Hope all is good in everyone's life and that Reese you get your on-line presence sorted out.
I am never going to look at a RR in the same way Ping, it will always now seem like a severed finger. I will be on for a beer later in the afternoon once the garden is tidy.
