Good evening all, quiet end to my late shift, so I will have some tea and a delicious looking brownie.

A bank holiday and no rain Curvy, climate change perhaps? A cooler day in Sydney but the last week has reached into the twenties every day and the spring flowers continue to look gorgeous.

Now that my story is published (and thanks to the regulars here who have said such nice things about it) I am working my way through the other entries. Started with those who have read mine and have really enjoyed them so far. I just love how the competitions bring out such a diversity of approaches to story telling.

I am late to the discussion on cats, but the pic of a cat attacking a baby bird, Ping, is troubling. The general policy in Sydney is that cats should be kept indoors, particularly at night. Local government is starting to introduce cat curfews and many more cats are now kept indoors permanently. All domestic cats are registered and micro-chipped, which allows for the trapping of feral cats. This is all designed to protect the nest sites of birds, mostly parrots in our case. I think over time this will be legislatively enforced and outdoor pet cats will potentially become a thing of the past.

CuriousAnnie. check her out if you haven't already. the girl has range.

Thank you so much Rachel for your support and confidence in my writing.

I can't limit myself to one favourite or indeed 10 favourites. I really have so many stories outstanding I want to read. Currently my favourites come from the competition authors as I religiously read those stories and anyone specifically recommended in Rump's bar.

While I won't select a favourite, but I will mention Lucabydesign who doesn't get as many mentions here as he should.
Congratulations and well done Chris.

And a personal vote of thanks for you help and support moderating some of my stories. You are a star.

Wow Grace, oh my God, no post has impressed me more on Lush. The history of music, well modern it is better to say. One day we must chat, I would love to hear what the older stuff was like. Beatles, Dylan, Doors, Van Morrison, Who etc
Evening all, I will have a white wine, well actually an Australian Riesling (that should tax you Rump) this Thursday evening. For you wine drinkers, life is not complete without tasting a South Australian Riesling, simply the best white wine in Australia.

Now I know it is 10 days since I have virtually trod these boards, but I have been busy. You guessed it, writing of course and my Kinky Fetish competition story is up. Thanks to Kee for her moderation and now it is up to you lot to see if I can eke out the required ten votes.

Now that I am done I will read all the other competition entries, having only sampled Susie's so far. Amazing what you can do with a shoe in Edinburgh.

And Milik since you sat El Henke needs the votes that is where I will start.

Kisses all, you can see I am in a good mood having finished writing smile
Now I know Susie and Curvy don't think of this as winter, but it was 25 degrees in Sydney yesterday; flowers particularly azaleas are in bloom and it is just gorgeous.

Enjoying a pleasant relaxing Saturday afternoon, having put my competition story to one side for a day or two. I have to do some serious editing as I am 500 words over. As usual I haven't read any others and won't until I finish mine, which hopefully I will do next week and therefore avoid TTT's icy glare reserved for latish submissions.

I could be tempted with a white wine or three.
Oh yes V, most of my stories include someone, or something that has been said to me, on lush. Oxford Street is the main exception to that.

HYE - found out you have been lied to repeatedly on Lush
Just the right time to drop by. Above, does this mean we get to write together?

my entire library is there. *shrugs* at least they're under my name. silly

Oh my I see what you mean, they have almost all of mine including the two I published on Lush 12 and 16 days ago. Also under my name I see.

They keep up to date, Kimmibegood's story published today (11th August) on lush is already on Sex Shelter.

The one story missing of mine is my Pride competition winning story. Is there a reason for that, I wonder?

Evening all! We've had a good wee crowd in here today. Nice to catch up with everyone's news. Glad Terrance is on guard duty!

Definitely beer time here please, Rumps!

Morning all. I will have coffee to kick start my Friday. Good to see so many here.

A cold front with high winds expected today, a reminder that winter is not yet over.

I have made reasonable progress on my fetish story, but as I hear Gillian, Katherine, and Vanessa talk, I have a crisis of confidence about whether mine is weird enough. I was seriously tempted by Formicophilia, but while that is certainly pretty creepy I so couldn't convincingly write about being turned on by insects.
I would love a drink this Monday afternoon. Perhaps a G&T to focus me on writing ✍️.I have my kink worked out, now to put a story around it. Funny thing about this bar. The time it records is NZ time, so we Aussies feel behind the times. I can almost hear Laura saying... well no need to supply Trans-Tasman banter, it is a comedy staple around these parts.

Ah nothing says true love louder than writing together. Susie if you were virtually invisible doesn’t that make you a sprite. And what does that mean, a cuter accent when we are tasered. Good that you were outside the day of the Irish ☘️ summer.

Well that is all for me, I think spring has sprung and the flowers ? are in bloom.

Happy Friday Rumps fam. How are we all?

I'm quite excited for the new comp theme. I have a few vague ideas forming already.

Drinks are on me, go nuts!

I know, I am excited about the competition too Laura, but wondering if my ideas (vanilla girl that I am) aren't really weird enough.

Go wild you say ... generous though dangerous when there are Australians in the house ... well I will start with a G&T.

Hope you aren't to cold Laura, it has been around 20 degrees of late here, but today it is 14 and I cant wait for winter to be over

Now as for the argument, LYFBUZ, that Canadians are pure and innocent, there is this University of Quebec report that shows

"Of the Canadian men and women considered, 35 percent agreed they liked voyeurism, 26 percent fetishism, 26 percent in frotteurism and 19 percent in masochism. Interestingly, masochism and fetishism were not significantly different between Canadian women and men. In fact, masochism was found to be associated with more diverse sexual interests and connected to higher sex life satisfaction."

Yes you do have so experimenting to do. smile That's a great idea for a story.

I have an idea for the comp. It's weird. Remember a certain Beatle's album cover that was banned? It's along those lines.

The purge begins...NOW. Just swallowed 4 Ducolax tablets. LJ's response (via text): "Good luck. Ew." That about sums it up.

Now, having had my father go through this, we so don't need a running commentary. You purge in private.

I googled the Beatle's album cover as I had never heard of it. Weird to be honest and I found the following quote

“We’d done a few sessions with [Whitaker] before this, and he knew our personalities,” remembered Paul McCartney in an interview for the Beatles Anthology. “He knew we liked black humor and sick jokes. And he said, ‘I have an idea – stick these white lab coats on.’ It didn’t seem too offensive to us. It was just dolls and a lot of meat. I don’t really know what he was trying to say, but it seemed a little more original than the things the rest of the people were getting us to do.”

So a picture of the band draped in slabs of raw meat and cigarette-burned doll parts has given you a fetish idea Verbal. My fetish ideas are obviously way too tame

Taser Tart wasn't mine, that was Rumps creation. I just used it.. Gotta give proper credit where its due.

You could come over all poetic Scott, that may help

Taser Tart, oh Taser Tart
Effervescent romantic art

Pain off the chart
For an old fart

You have my heart
If only it will re-start

I tried to play my part
Flowers from Wal-mart

Stepping out with Taser Tart

If you want me, I am at the Emergency Department of an unnamed Sydney hospital, hoping our security holds up.

Thanks for posting my links Green_Man, I clearly had a blond moment.

Coffee for me this Thursday lunchtime, the weather is till pleasantly fine around 20 degrees and the spring flowers are blooming.
The drinks look so delicious, but sadly at 8:30 on Wednesday morning it is a tad early for alcohol even for an Aussie Lushie.

So coffee for me. And to let you know how I have been keeping myself busy this winter, giggles.

A flash from down under, for a second time in a week,

https://

And for those that missed the first skirt swirling flash, here is another glimpse,

https://

Two little flashes that deserve your full attention, one lusty and one a touch sadder.

What was that Rump ... oh I see.

Apparently, smoothing down my skirt so it just covers my butt, the Notorious competition is over and the usual public morality rules apply.

What are they Rump? Heaven knows I had thought morality was in short supply around here, more watered down than the drinks.

Oh I see Rump, you say it is an Occupational Health and Safety rule.

The sight of a young (that is a kind thing to say to a 30 year old) lady's (charitable, but not the most accurate thing I have every been called) thong-less (Translation for the Antipodes: Rump doesn't mean bare feet) nether regions is too stressful for the hearts of the those nursing their whiskey and dreaming of days long past.

Another coffee for me and then there is work to be done.

P.S. Rump if there are OHS rules what about 7-up's beep-beep taser!!
Morning all, another cool fine day in the South. Even more spring flowers around which makes this my favourite time of the year.

Coffee for me, as I want to spend a free hour of two this Monday morning writing. And if there is cake well count me in.

Also trying to catch up on the stories I missed when on holiday and then reading all the contest entries. So many to choose from and not enough time.

Susie, I'm so glad I'm not the only one telling Annie her winter is the same as our summer! I'll get some washing out on the line today as it's due to lash down all day tomorrow. Oh, joy! And agree that Annie's Flash was excellent and hot stuff!

So, BB has been de-sludged (saved for Carl) rinsed and refilled and there is a pot of fresh tea on the counter for lovely Tonya (not forgetting Scott, too.)

The mugs are washed and will hopefully dry while I have a hunt in the freezer for any spare cake.

Tea, coffee, fine lickers, anyone?

The news here has included items on European heatwaves and Nicola mentioned high 30's in England. Giggles I shall now make allowances for my Irish friends particularly as they are so nice about my story. It was a balmy warm Saturday in Sydney reaching 20 degrees and I even got the washing dried.

Oh and Curvy and Susie, all this talk her about baseball and there is some real football on the TV; Australia lead Argentina 16-3 and NZ and SA drew 16 all.

I will have a wine this Saturday evening and the round is on me.
Morning all, coffee for me.

All this talk of hot weather, it is still cold down our way, 20 degrees but at least it is fine. And oh joy I have seen the first daffodils camellias and azaleas of spring. Summer is coming.

I did keep myself busy yesterday, and as a consequence I am flashing the bar. The story link is below, and as always thanks to Curvy who always seems to draw the short straw and moderate my stories. She is of course so lovely that she says she likes it.

There is also a poem, a sad one for me, written on the weekend when I realised a friend had seemingly left lush without a word.
Afternoon all, just taking a break from Saturday gardening. Yes weeds still seem to grow in a Sydney winter. Hope all is good in everyone's life and that Reese you get your on-line presence sorted out.

I am never going to look at a RR in the same way Ping, it will always now seem like a severed finger. I will be on for a beer later in the afternoon once the garden is tidy.
