I liked the escape goat

Yeah, that one was pretty special...wasn't it?

I shared this in a writing group, and somebody posted this...if you really want entertainment, this will keep you busy for quite a while...note the suggestion that you "start reading at comment 289"...

Here's another video interview of the Wilders...they seem to be getting a bit famous btw...

I think you could make a list of the FAILS in this one, starting with the off-center tattoo, and continuing on...

This subject came up recently in one of my writing groups, and I realize this one might not interest everyone here, but...

Here's a post that may interest some of my friends about getting on daytime TV talk shows...the article is two years old, but I verified that the contacts are still current, and the advice should be the same...check it out my friends...

Getting on Daytime TV Talk Shows
http://blog.prnewswire.com/2011/08/08/getting-on-daytime-tv-talk-shows/

Like I said, I verified the contacts listed being up to date, at least for The Today Show, and Good Morning America...

Here's the Twitter account for Patty Neger, of Good Morning America...

And for Angela LaGreca, producer of Today...

Good luck on this one, but people, especially authors, do get on these shows...as the article says, keep your correspondence short, and to the point...see you on TV...

What's the deal with you posting something useful and coherent? Keep this up and you'll blow your well deserved rep as a slacker and ne'er-do-well.

You think this is bad Reverend, wait until you see my next post...but, I promise I won't let this go on for too long, and I'll get back to my usual routine of drinking and slacking shortly...wouldn't want any of my friends here to not recognize me...
A couple of lists that might be useful to my writer-type friends here on Lush...

Here's another list that may be useful to my writer-type friends...so, when your editor starts using fancy terms like "noun" and "verb"...you'll know what they're talking about...

Good Evening My Fine Friends of Lush...well, it looks like the day has finally come...the Good Chef, though she left us a few months back, stopped by over on Facebook today and left this message over on my wall...and I know you saw it there Reverend...

"Give everyone in the bar a drink on me! I'm buying tonight!"...

It's right up there towards the top of my FB page...if anyone wants to check it out, here's the link...

Oh, and I'm quite certain that I recall that she may or may not have said something that could possibly resemble a statement that she was more than likely considering paying off my bar tab...that would, of course, be based upon the movable premise that I indeed heard the good woman correctly...which I believe I did...

No big deal for now...actually, I'm not even really in that much of a drinking mood...just, um, pass me over that bottle of Chivas...no Rump, the big one with the handle...

And do you by any chance have any bubbly left in the office to chase this crap with? There must be a bottle of Dom Perignon or some equivalent...go look again while I drink out of this bottle of Chivas Regal...yeah, the handle on the side really does make it easier to drink out of the bottle...

Anyway...I see Sharon likes to swim naked at night...let me remind you there, that it is always night time somewhere...

Cheers,
Alan.

Sorry, I didn't clarify. I meant total story views I was not sure if there is a list or not, I'm just curious.

You can go to the front page of this site, click the tab that says "Most Viewed" and see for yourself...

You can also do the same thing for each story category...I hope this helps...
I really don't view this as anything new here, publishers have always given priority to celebrity, whether in the writing world or not...which is why someone like Snookie from Jersey Shore can get a book deal, and probably a million dollar advance along with it, even though she may have never written anything other than her name previously...a few writers I know in groups I'm in seem to think this is something revelatory...I view it as business as usual...

Happy, energetic, and almost childish...every time...and if they happen to have money and willing to buy drinks, I consider that a plus...just sayin'

usually I can decipher your not-so secret code but I have no idea what "hollowin" chance is.

Don't tell me you don't know what howlin' is? I think he just wants to know which wolf-like creature you'd like to have sex with...

Don't automatically take it for granted people who DO show pics are actually showing you pictures of themselves.

What are you trying to say? That I'm not really a corned beef sandwich? You calling me a liar?

I've never been so insulted before in my life...

Cocaine.

Yeah, not sure they were talking about nose candy...but yeah, I'd tend to agree...

Tough question...when I do buy candy, which is not a regular thing for me, I usually end up buying Reeses...but, I realize there are a lot of more expensive, exotic type candies which are better...

Maybe I'll just stick to crack, like The Magical One suggested...

PS. I do follow you on facebook, you martini meister.

Thanks Mr. Buz...yeah, believe it or not, there's actually quite a bit of good stuff over on Facebook for writers...

I do realize the site itself sucks sometimes, like when they decide to change things for no apparent reason...but, I have to say, overall I think I've learned more about writing, publishing, promo, etc over on Facebook than anywhere else...just sayin'
Some good advice from my friend Kristen Lamb...and yeah, Kristen knows stuff...

Are You Alienating Fans on Facebook & Fracturing Your Platform?
http://warriorwriters.wordpress.com/2013/07/16/are-you-alienating-fans-on-facebook-fracturing-your-platform/

Btw, I don't read a lot of author blogs...really don't have the time...but, if you're looking for one to follow, Kristen would be a good choice...she's one of those people who has a clue what's going on when it comes to writing and publishing and stuff like that...

Second, the 10th through 15th book bundles in the Authors for Oklahoma charity thingy have posted...my book is in the 11th, 12th, and 13th, along with Norma Beishir, K.b. Cash, Sherry Ellis, Lori R. Lopez and a few others...the idea is you make a ten dollar donation, for a great cause I might add, and pick which bundle you'd like to win...all proceeds go to the American Red Cross to benefit the Oklahoma tornado victims...check it out my friends...

There are no real brother and sister porn stars.

You sure about that? I'll have to check the porn star databases, and I'll try to avoid any redneck jokes...

Btw, I think one of the reasons certain sites have a high percentage of stories is that most erotic story sites don't allow stories, so all the writers gravitate to the ones that do...without thinking too hard, I'd say less than a third of the sites I know of allow stories...

Happy Birthday Nic...Hope you have a nice relaxing one, whichever day it is...and I get a bit confused with this whole Aussie calender thing...I don't know why you Aussie people can't get your days straight, have to drive on the wrong side of the road, and can't spell simple words like "color" and "favorite"...

But anyway...hope you have a nice, relaxing day (ducks and runs)...

Cheers,
Alan.

FWIW, my contest winner here at Lush (see sig line) used a first person female POV and most folks said it came out more or less readable. ;)

What drunk told you your stories were readable Reverend? Btw, for a free drink, I'll tell you anything you want to hear, and then some...reminds me, I need to get over to the bar...been busy as of late with real life stuff...and I hate when real life gets in the way of important matters like drinking...

Anyway, getting back on topic...I'd have to say about 90% of my stories, both here on this fine site known throughout the free world as Lush Stories, and otherwise are first person, male POV...and that hasn't stopped me from getting a certain amount of recognition, here and elsewhere...so, maybe the issue is not the fact that they're male POV...just sayin'

If I did publish in an e-book, I would leave any "re-used" stories posted here. Is there an appropriate or "good" way to tell people reading the book that if they saw the stories here, they are not stolen...I just put them in two places?

I don't think that's going to be an issue for you...I've been on Lush four years now, and have stories and poems posted on various sites under Exakta66, DirtyMartini, as well as my real name...not once in any of those years has anyone ever accused me of plagiarizing my own stories...

And yes, I am a published author...recognized by no less than Poets & Writers Magazine...so, I'd say I'm pretty legit...

And both of them are almost as popular as the "supernatural stories" page!

Lol...I noticed that too...but not as popular as the trans story page...that's an interesting list actually...

And congrats Summer...
