It's good for our site, and everyone who's on here trying to make a career from their writing (or money from their endeavours).

Very positive signs for our particular genre.

Here's something else you'll find encouraging Nic...I shared this over on FB earlier, don't know if you noticed...but, definitely a sign erotic romance is going mainstream...

This coming Sunday, March 24, the CBS Sunday Morning news show will be doing a segment on Ellora’s Cave Publishing, which includes a number of authors on my friends list btw...CBS Correspondent Bill Geist interviewed CEO Patty Marks, and along with Patty, they also did an interview with one of EC’s most popular authors, my friend Desiree Holt who has written and published over 130 books. Another interesting fact about Desiree? Along with producing exciting, sizzling romance fiction, she is a 76 year old widowed grandmother...check it out my friends...and watch the show this Sunday...

A new "How To" book out some of my friends might find of interest...

Oh dear...is there a stronger term than "Epic" to describe the level of this FAIL?

Yes to most of the above, I sort of would put Seinfeld, South Park, Monty Python high on the list..

I would add the Little Rascals and Three Stooges somewhere as well...there's probably some more recent stuff, but I don't watch much TV as of late...
Hey Rump...Happy Birthday, and all that...

I would have got here sooner, but I wanted to bring a gift...and it took me a while to save up for the good stuff...the bag was optional, and cost more than the bottle btw...

Cheers,
Alan.

I wasn't going to enter, but there is a potato up for grabs...

Yes, there is indeed a potato involved...and that could make all the difference my friends...

I think it's great Lizzy...but, I just called that number...$3.95 for the first minute...isn't that a bit much?
Good Evening My Lushketeer Friends...did I hear a rumor that Scooter is buying drinks?

Hmmm....hey Rump, pour me a shot of each from everything on the top shelf except for the Geritol bottle and that old jug of anti-freeze...thanks...

Nice of you to stop by Scooter, was wondering where my next drink was coming from...

Cheers,
Alan.

It took me a bit over five minutes...and I've always been aware I'm a bit of a slow reader, I can see that's the longest time posted so far...and I always read every word in a story btw...

That seems about right for me...I have one audio story posted here, it's an 1800 word story and the audio is almost exactly ten minutes long...

I accept friend requests from anyone who is not a serial killer.

Boy, you're really getting picky here ain't you Buz? Think of all those poor, friendless serial killers here on Lush...

Happy Birthday Alan!

Thanks for everything you bring to the site, few people here are more knowledgeable about the publishing industry.

Lol...that's a scary thought that I might be considered the knowledgeable one around here...

Damn, I might have nightmares tonight just thinking about that one...let me ponder this for a while...

Thanks for the well-wishes and kind words though Nic...
My first submission to The Society of Classical Poets, and all submissions are eligible for their yearly contest which I believe has a first prize of $1k, and consideration for their yearly print antho...btw, Miss Maggie Rascal made a couple of suggestions which resulted in a few word changes...a very helpful Rascal she is...♥

Good Evening my fellow Lushkins...yeah Rump, your latest assault to the English language did get a response from Miss Rascal...what's that old adage about there being no such thing as bad publicity? At least people are reading it anyway...just be glad it's not out in print, at least people aren't burning it...

I don't know how true all those rumors about people printing out your story just so they can burn it are...you know how those rumor mills work...

Anyway, the contest winners over on the infamous blue site have been announced...in the end, the size of the bribe triumphed...I mean, um, in the end creativity and talent prevailed...damn Auto-Correct...

Yeah, Miss Steffanie walked away with the big $200.00 first prize over there, well-deserved I might add...she's been one of my favorite writers over there for some time...I can see her going places in the literary world someday, if she so desires...

Speaking of going places...I, um, sort of remember that Steffanie said she'd be over to buy a round for the hard working mods over there in appreciation of her win...

Yeah, um...that's how I remember it...so, pass me a tall mug of Beaver Breath, and I'm quite certain Miss Steffanie will be right over to pick up the tab...

Yeah, that's how I remember the conversation going...so, pass the Beaver there Reverend...

Cheers,
Alan.

Do we have an option of being notified when someone has made a comment on one of our stories? Or maybe that's a crazy amount of work ... or if someone can tell me where that option is ... great

Go to "Account"..."Settings" then "Settings Privacy"...look down the page toward the bottom where it says about e-mail notifications...you'll see a box to check off...

Any problems, let me know...
Nice trailer Jeff...but, I think you need a proper car to go with it...

Good Evening My Lushketeer Friends...ah yes, we did indeed lower our standards over on the blue site by publishing your story Reverend, of course, your modest bribe may or may not have been an influence...

Speaking of modest bribes...ahem...been working hard all day reading contest entries over on the blue site, and I'm not at liberty t to say for sure, but buying me a tall mug of Beaver Breath may or may not result in one's contest entry ending up in the winner's circle...

(Looks around the room at this group of broke bums and realizes I might have to buy my own drink, a fate worse than mere death)

Hmmm...well, in that case, if there are no takers...slide me over a tall bottle of Beaver Breath Rump...looks like I'm going to have to vote myself the winner over on SS...I'll pay you back after Lisa sends me the check...

And a big congrats on your win over here Miss Mazza, haven't had time to read anything over here in a while...heck, I'm so busy lately I barely have time to drink...and that's pretty serious...

Btw, what did you win...a potato?

Cheers,
Alan.

Yeah, he looks a bit moody to me!

I heard that Crazy-D...probably has something to do with having to judge the contest over there...

Btw, do you think anyone would notice if I voted myself the winner? Just a thought...

Lol...btw, how's that working out for you Jeff?

I tend to agree with AndrewKitty...I think if someone says they read your story again and again, it's a rather high compliment...

Trying to think if anyone ever told me that...um, never mind...

I'm still trying to find out more about this potato myself...does it sing? Does it dance?
