Yeah, it's funny but it seems like more than a few people are going to be checking out Stories Space now that Lush will be down a whole day...we actually got something like ten new members today...and there were people in the chat room...

Just a note to anyone planning on joining Stories Space for the first time...Stories Space is the non-erotic sister site...the emphasis being on the "non"...we've had a couple of cases we'd like to avoid in the future...

In other words, if you call yourself Big12InchJohn over here on Lush, you may want to just call yourself John or something when you go over to Stories Space...you get the picture...

Damn Fugs, you've been reading my stories I see...actually, I used to make this mistake but I've been learning...I have to admit, English was never one of my favorite subjects in school...I did do well in lunch and study hall though, think I got all "A's" as matter of fact...

And yeah, I agree about the yelling thing...if two people are having sex, it should imply they are at least in the same room...though you don't really know nowadays...

Anyway, I could add a few...there's not much that actually makes me stop reading a story but there are a few annoying things...not starting a new paragraph often enough is one...

I mean, there is never any reason for one paragraph to take up a whole page...heck, even I know that... happy8

Why, I was just reading one story where the girl referred to her boyfriend's "cock" in one paragraph, his "dick" in the next, and his "meat pole" in yet another part of the story...

I mean which is it? Make your mind up already...btw, is "meat pole" supposed to be hyphenated?

Good Afternoon Lushketeers...I forgot to mention what an inspiring sermon that was yesterday Reverend Rumpskin...it was so inspiring I was just at a loss for words...

In fact I felt genuinely moved...I'm not sure if it was the sermon or Busty's coffee, but lets just say I was definitely moved...

Nice to see everyone's smiling faces...amazing what a little alcohol can do to, or a lot of alcohol as the case may be...and speaking of alcohol, I'll take whatever potent consumable may be within my budget...

And don't try to pawn off that kosher wine again Reverend...some wines just don't improve with age, and that's one of them...sort of like those baguettes you've been trying to pass off since the place opened...

Btw, Lush will be down for an upgrade...basically the whole site will be switched to a different server system from what I understand...we went through this already over on Stories Space, and I'm told the site is now three times faster...the people who work there aren't necessarily any faster, but the site itself definitely is...

And um, as a moderator over on that fine site...and no jokes about me being in a position of power, I'm tired of hearing them...I can assure you that Nic and Gav and everyone else involved have been putting a lot of time and effort into assuring this place runs properly...

You haven't had any lighting outages here, have you? Well, probably because you're running a long extension cord to the building next door to keep the lights on here, but that's beside the point...

But yeah...there's a few other little goodies, but basically it's all about making the site faster to handle the busy traffic...

Now if we can just get some of that traffic into the bar...especially tourists with money...I'm still selling these tickets to the Policeman's Ball btw, if anyone's interested...I have a few left for any lucky patron here with money...

Make me an offer...

Well, yeah...I guess writing a bad story is no guarantee that nobody is going to steal it...

But, if they steal your stories and get lousy ratings and feedback...chances are they won't come back and steal from you again...

Btw, I'd like to reiterate what Nicola said about as long as your stories are published anywhere, they can be stolen...there is absolutely nothing a site like this can do to prevent theft, and it is wrong for anyone to feel that Lush should in any way, shape or form be held accountable...

I'm saying this, because we've already put the changes into effect over on Stories Space...the right click has been disabled on stories...but it took me, a 50 year old guy who did not grow up with computers, less than an hour to get around that...I have to assume that any 12 year old kid already knows how...

The same goes with pictures posted in profiles, the same trick I used to copy stories works for pictures here...and I demonstrated that by copying one of Nicola's pictures from her profile page and posting it in the moderator forum over on Stories Space...

Sorry Nic...just really trying to prove the point that you already stated here earlier...

So, in other words, I don't want to hear anyone blame Lush or Stories Space if there stories or pictures get stolen...and I work over on the sister site, and can assure you that this matter has been getting a lot of attention lately...

There is nothing a site can do to prevent people from stealing...the only thing a site like this can be reasonably expected to do is be proactive when it's reported that stolen stories appear on the site, and in that the Lush team has been exceptional...

I'll get off the soapbox...I will say there have been a few notable improvements over on Stories Space with the advent of Version 2...still trying to figure them all out myself, but you can now see all your friend's activity, even if they comment on someone's profile page for instance...and there are improvements as far as the ability to share a story link on Facebook and the like...

And I'm told the site is three times faster...

Here we go...this has been getting a lot of attention lately, and rightly so I think...so far, they've been courting more "established" authors, so it probably doesn't affect anyone here on Lush at the moment...
