Why do you say more healthy? Why is the other one sick? You don't mention personality, job, work ethic, or any of a million other things that affect a relationship.

I've mostly avoided this thread as it's "ask the guys" but in reality, more guys then girls tend to answer the ask the girls threads anyway, so why shouldn't I put my two cents in.
I'm a big girl: I stand 6', weigh between 250(winter)-230(summer) #. I'm not a stick, never will be. But, that doesn't mean I'm not active of fit. I follow a primitive diet: vegetable based, very strict grain/dairy/sugar limitations, absolutely no processed foods. Typically I eat about 10-12 salads a week. I also exercise. In the past week alone, I ran 8 miles, and biked 85 miles(my summer plans include a century ride and a half marathon). Plus, school and work. So I'm not sitting around eating Doritos. To say that fat people are lazy can be both true and a misnomer. Like all else, it depends on the individual.
That said, I prefer fit women. I get very frustrated with threads like this as I find it to be an excuse for thin bashing and for plump girls to validate themselves. Neither is okay in my book. I'm a big girl. I'll own up to that. But I don't need a bunch of online people to tell me how they prefer me. I've got my good points, and my flaws. I'm aware of them both. Luckily for me, there are plenty of men who find me their cup of tea. We are all individuals and we are attracted to different things. What a boring place this earth would be if we were all the same.

Firefighters are one of the many essential services we need to have in our world. They are usually the first respondents to most crimes/accidents, not just fires. Thank god for firefighters!!
Now, if you are asking about firefighters' reputation out on the street as "dogs, womanizers, cheaters, etc" .... there seems to be some truth in those generalized titles for some firefighters. I know a handful of them (2 in the extended family plus friends) ... and the generalization of firefighters seem quite accurate.
But to get back to your question ..... I have always enjoyed the eyecandy of any firefighter I have seen!
Arrogant fucks, all the ones I know. (including my parents) I'm glad for their services, but am beyond disinterested in ever dating one.

Yes, I appreciate having the opportunity for people to read and rate my stories. But, the way I see it, if you told all your writers to go somewhere else, you'd longer afford to keep this wonderful site up unless you started paying out of your own wallet. It's co-operation not a privilege. I co-operated, but not as politely as I would have liked. I need you, and you need me. I'd rather put this mess behind me.
I note that while your "intention was never to make to make this become public" you posted it not to a private message, but rather on the public forum. Your actions are at odds with your words. You have been responded to by a number of people, story mods, as well as contributing writers.
The reason so many have responded, is your original message was essentially an insult to the mods, who volunteer time out of their busy lives to help writers (I know for a fact all of them are more than willing to go above and beyond to help those who ask for help. Note I didn't say they do the work for you). You also insulted the writers who do put the effort in to hone and improve their craft. Writing requires effort to produce a quality piece. By saying it doesn't matter what you write, you essentially said that those other writers wasted their time. No wonder they became upset. You also insult the readers when you say it doesn't matter. I write because I liked to read first. So I consider myself a reader. Grammar and verb tense do matter. A lot. Nothing is worse then being speed bumped by a poorly written sentence. If I have to try to figure out what you are saying, I can't enjoy myself.

I don't publish until a story is finished. How long it can take varies depending on the story. But I typically can write at about 1000 words an hr if things are going well. Sometimes it might be more like 3 words an hour
It takes far far longer to edit than write. I write as it strikes me, quickly and committing my words to the story before it flees. Then I will edit paying close attention to continuity; does the sentence push the plot or character development? Building, showing my story vs telling it. Along the way consistently checking and correcting verb tense, punctuation, and other grammatical errors.
My last short story submitted (something borrowed, link in my signature) took me a week to prepare.

Wouldn't it be better if the mods waited until the comp was over before giving these? It sort of makes it look like less of a level playing field now, as if one story has been marked as special before the judging even starts.

Typically the mods do not award rr's until after a contest closes.
