don't anybody play the music from jaws. I'm coming for you gina.
no touching, of course, but i'm sure you would be interesting to talk to.
i will be offline for a few days nursing the beast, so-called because when I built it on my arrival in the us of a, 20-odd years ago, the parts cost $666. the rest of the parts arrive in the morning.

kimmi, I'm broke after spending well over a grand on upgrades for the beast, but I will happily kiss your posterior better. i promise not to let my tongue stray TOO often,

for good food if you are travelling, turn left at albukoikey onto i40. cedar crest is on 14 north and ribbs is on the right-hand side. for some of you that will be other right. not the best, but pretty good.

further east in edgewood is pizza barn, home of the best regular pizzas. look it up, rather than me trying to splain where it is.

more eastish still, on the south side of the main drag in Moriarty, is nachos. far and away the best Mexican food I've ever gad. expect to wait for a table at lunchtime.

a large mug of bertha's finest with cream, please. and keep it coming until I slosh.

And to all my friends here at Rumps, PLEASE get vaccinated, even if it's only to humour a harmless fellow writer (that's me, in case you had any doubts…)

Willum and I will not be getting jabbed any time soon. we aren't against it, but it can't happen. we don't go out and nobody comes in, not even covid. everything we need gets left on the porch.

for normal people though, I agree. get your shots as soon as possible. and remember, just because I don't go out irl doesn't mean I can't track you down in rumps and punish you.

coffee, please. large. cream, no sugar. preferably in a clean mug but not essential.

Biggest misconceptions seem to be it is always cold and snowy, we're all socialists in Canada and the country is some kind of backwater with little talent.

toronto had talent, but David Clayton thomas moved to new york and I moved back to England in the 60s.
i forgot, it's st patrick's day. scratch the coffee, I'll have a Guinness, please. remember, drink the black part through the white part.

Good morning all, I do hope everyone is thriving. Nothing much to report, although I think I understand now how useless Jimmy Stewart's character felt in Vertigo. Lots of audiobooks, three so far, and the first glimmers of light and soft focussed objects are returning which is very encouraging.

Ines is being spoilt, I'm doing all the cooking, lunch, dinner... anything to alleviate the tedium. The art of conversation is alive and well. Taking pity on me, she narrated how she was painting for an hour which was incredible. Getting some great ideas for new stories too. One is very good, as laptop time is rationed, it's all being written in my head for now. At least another week of this, it could be so much worse.

So an English Breakfast Tea for two please...

Have a wonderful day all.

for those of you with vision issues, I have a couple of sight-related anecdotes. i am fortunate in that I can usually see fine with 1.25 reading glasses and my browser set to 133%.

there is a comic strip in Britain called the perishers. highly recommended if you can get it. from the introduction to the perishers very big for its size storybook: a bear with an unfortunate squint named gladly, after the well-known hymn gladly my cross-eyed bear.

a fellow with a glass eye used to drink in my local. as the evening progressed he would change his eye for one more bloodshot so that it matched the good one. finally, when last orders was called he swapped the glass eye out for a union jack.

coffee, please.

Good evening everyone! I missed you all today but had a few chores to accomplish, errands to run and TRIED to write a bit. I don't know how some folks crank out the stories. Late for a coffee for me, but if there's Fat Tire on tap I'll start there. With a lime wedge because... well, thats the way I like it! Otherwise anything amber and cold. Or amber and warm if any of the ladies are named Amber. I'm reasonably friendly...

my name is grace, but I would love to share something amber and warm with you.

this reminded me of "tea, ern?" which of course reminded me of David rose with the inimitable eric morcambe and ernie wise:

Thank you Miss Curvy for the welcome. I see your story talked about a lot too and I need to go find it to read. I had to look up what an EP was. Speaking of initials, does anyone here know how to put in an IV tube? I need coffee and lots of it in a steady flow, not a drip. Much as I love being on Daylight savings time, I like the night we go off it much better than the night we go on it as Gracie said.

Thank you too James for the mention above and for pointing that box out to me. If I was British I'd probably be gobsmacked or one of those kind of things but here I'm just blown away. Can't thank everyone enough for reading my story!

Where is Mr. Foreskin this morning? I guess with running a bar he keeps late hours so setting the clock up must hit him hard. This is a nice place, but it could use that hot tub and pool.

i was born in londinium. I've been smacked in the gob, I didn't enjoy it. i do sometimes find my ghast has been flabbered.

Mr foreskin, or bill, or the old blind git may be confused by the time changes, since arizona doesn't do it.

this name business puts me in mind of rocky racoon from the white double. her name was mcgill and she called herself lil but everyone knew her as nancy.

you may be pleased to learn that there is a dumpster hot tub out back. tawny can be found there most mornings before she starts work.
hi sweetie. would you like a drop of whiskey in your coffee?
