I think both Laura Trott...

and Lizzy Yarnold...

are both totally yummy!

They're both very successful British Olympians and fabulous role models.
This thread is hilarious!

Making their grand entrance, Mr and Mrs Balls and their gorgeous daughter Ophelia.
I love The Wizard of Oz. I know the subject material isn't Christmas, but in the UK it's a sort of tradition that it's on the TV at some point in and around Christmas.

For proper Christmas films, I love The Polar Express.
I share a two bedroom flat with a good friend from work. Not "that" sort of friend though lol
My mood right now is with Lizzy Yarnold. I'm not a massive sports fan, but she won Gold at the Olympics this year. The amazing thing is that the UK has just about no facilities for any winter sport, let alone the skeleton bob. Yet she won. Amazing! She's nominated for the British Sports Personality of the Year (winner announced in a couple of hours). She's really really nice and also utterly yummy!

The future. I'd love to see if the human race can develop the technology to explore other planets. Linked to that, do we finally meet and communicate with intelligent life somewhere else in the universe.

Lesbian.

But you can find some fabulous girl/girl stories in other categories too. They're just a little harder to find.
I actually cried when I got my first Recommended Read. Daft I know, but I was so thrilled.

I have an odd sense of humour, so always love it when someone picks up on something I've said or posted and then pm's me or posts on my wall with a subtle and /or cryptic pic that's designed to make me smile. That sort of thing is amazingly thoughtful.

I wrote a story with a good friend too. That whole week of bouncing ideas and parts we'd written back and forth between each other was an amazing experience. It was so much fun and I also loved the whole energy and feel of that week.
I had chicken and bacon lasagne. Perfect for a frosty Saturday night under the duvet on the sofa!
It's rare, but every now and then a customer at work asks me out. It's always guys though lol

I've nothing against men, but don't want them asking me out however sweet and flattering it is. I do admire the fact they're brave enough to do it!
I like current affairs, Formula One when it's on, The Walking Dead and the odd movie. Averaged out.... maybe 2 or 3 hours a week (ish)
I travelled a little in Australia after school. The craziest thing I ate was a kangaroo burger when I did a bus trip in the Northern Territory. It tasted a lot like beef. Anyway, back to the question in hand, I don't remember anything being excessively spiced while I was there unless you deliberately went for Indian or maybe Mexican cuisine.
The block should be enough. A hard block prevents all contact and the person can't even see you as being online. If for some reason the block doesn't work, use the "contact us " function and Lush admin will probably look into it for you.
Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see......

I'm snuggly under TWO duvets. That's making me seriously happy right now x
Where I work we get a different brass band in the foyer every day playing various Christmas carols and songs. It's hard not to get a little fed up with them when I hear them over and over day after day.

Having said that I love Happy Christmas (War is Over) by John Lennon and I Believe in Father Christmas by Greg Lake mostly because it's got a portion of "Troika" from Sergei Prokofiev's Lieutenant Kijé Suite in it.

I also love Silent Night. It's such peaceful carol and makes me think of trees crusted in fresh snow on a moonlit winters night.

What songs, hymns and carols do others like?
Chicken wings with a pot of soured cream to dip them in as I go. If I'm feeling totally piggy I might do a cheesy jacket spud to go with them!

Hands down, Cheryl Cole.

You can have her and I'll have.......um..........the rest Fair??
Chrissie's whole post is just so amazingly true!

Case in point - Look at the first stories I wrote on Lush a year ago compared to my more recent efforts. The level of descriptive detail, all the little things you speak about, is so much more prevalent in my stories now. They aren't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I think you can see my growth as a writer by my adding all those little details in.

Your post sums up what I've subconsciously tried to achieve with my writing over the course of this last year. Thanks for such a simple, yet effective post and fantastic additional resource for writers xx
I cant believe they killed Beth off!! Her character was getting more and more prominent parts as the series went on. I'm disappointed to say the least

She was staggeringly gorgeous too I'm going to really miss her on the show.

I read somewhere that both Nicholas Cage and Tom Cruise went for the part of Pinocchio recently, but both were turned down. Apparently their acting was too wooden.

i heard the issue was that there were too many strings attached...

Brad Pitt won the role. The competition was tight, but he was the winner by a nose...
I love,

Close Encounters of the Third Kind - The use of Devil's Tower is incredible and I love how the handpicked few were all ordinary people.

Forbidden Planet - I love the whole premise of monsters from the subconscious fuelled by the jealousy of Morbious.

Galaxy Quest -This is just plain fun and a wonderfully clever parody on the brilliant Star Trek films.
