Coffee please, hoping to finish another story today. Appreciate folks sharing their trials with Comp entries. Like a few others i went way over the 1000 words but at least i got 2 stories out of it.

I somehow got the phrase "soaking eloquence" into a story. Not sure it will survive editing but I'm a bit smug about it.

Slowly bringing a story together that I'm starting to like.

Its cool to watch the views on Comp entries, definitely gratifying. Meanwhile over on the sibling revelry category the Comp entry I fucked up is going gangbusters. Been working on multiple stories and have one that I'm really starting to like. Teaser: it involves "fuck holes." 😊

I did something similar on a previous Comp. I kinda liked that story, it was sufficiently evil. lol My first attempt on this Comp ran away on me and ended up at 2000 words. Working my way through the entries and will def give yours a read.

Good to see you Ensorceled; that description sounds like a great afternoon except for the knee part.

Like others I may start with a phrase or vague idea and it goes where it goes. I think I actually laid out a rough storyline exactly once. About half the time a story more or less follows what's in my head the other half veer down unexpected paths.

Coffee please. That yogurt does look good and I have some strawberries to add too. Getting the word count down can be a challenge. I had to trim about 150 words on my Comp entry but it was a good edit, changed a lot of sentences to make them more active. My story production in the last week (2) has exceeded my production over the last 2 or 3 years by 2. lol

Great idea, it stands really well just as a great story!

My Comp entry went astray to 2100 words. I probably could have carved 500 but I didn't really want to slash it that much. So I just sent it as a non-Comp story. It ain't stellar but it is pretty dirty. Its been a couple of years at least since I posted anything. Be warned its in one of those nasty categories...

If I get another idea I might still get in a Comp entry. Maybe.

That's a fine looking Cape Cod there James, I'd forgotten that's what the drink is called. Sounds like a bunch of us have Comp entries, most currently above 1000 words. Should be a busy Comp!

Hey all, vodka cran please. My Comp story is at 2100 words. I'm not sure if I'm going to carve it up or just submit as a regular story. I think the word count is more challenging at 1000, i may do a rewrite that drops everything not sex. More likely I just won't finish it.

I'll nope out of a story if it has too many spelling or grammatical errors, if the sex (or other) descriptions are weak or lack detail. Also the story has to flow, if a story jumps around for no apparent reason i won't finish it.

Evening all, Grey Goose and whatever evil substance you call orange juice please. I don't mind shoveling snow but so far we've only had a dusting. We're supposed to get 2 feet of snow in the next 24 hours but I predict the storm will miss my house, probably due to my angelic nature.

Sounds like a bad movie plot where everyone in the theater knows the plot except the characters.

We Canadians are prepared. All exports of orange dye will be stopped forthwith and good luck building houses without our lumber. Though I guess there will be lots of houses after those millions are deported. As for all those metals and minerals we sell to US military/industrial complex we’ll just keep it in the ground.
