Logistically, how do to round up and deport millions of people, without spending billions in salaries for the people needed for rounding up the people being deported? Some to be deported have skills that will be missed, and hard to replace. For me its a sliding scale; the MAGA camp is talking about mass deportations of illegal immigrants and the dude rumoured to be Trump's guy in charge of deportations has been quoted talking about deporting illegal immigrants AND their birthright children with them. I used to travel extensively for work and hearing others having sex used to just piss me off. One, it wasn't me getting lucky and two, I was usually completely exhausted and just wanted a few hours sleep.

I've only been in chat rooms 2 or 3 times and it was just a bunch of people posting emojis, whispering and 27 conversations going on at once. Totally chaotic. Self checkouts. I was in a big box home reno store recently that had 4 or 5 staff hovering around the self checkouts and ZERO cashiers. I put everything back on the shelf and walked out. In what universe does it make sense to pay 5 people to watch self-checkouts versus having 1 or 2 cashiers?

The Kennedy Center honours was awesome, the rendition of Stairway by Heart/Jason B and the choir was fucking magnificently done. Page and Jones in particular were outstanding musicians, much in demand as session players before Zep took off.

I changed my mind. Yes. Some people are just too irresponsible. I noted a few comments about pets/animals being scared which is a big factor for me although my cat isn't bothered by fireworks. The big factor for me was seeing a local display done with drones instead of fireworks. It didn't quite match the splendour of fireworks but it was still pretty impressive. I live in a small town so it wasn't a big budget production.

I love fireworks and probably would have enjoyed a career as an arsonist. I used to have a connection that would hook me up with pro level fireworks. (They're huge and come in brown wrapping.) The last time I shot one off was New Years Eve about 7 or 8 years ago. Unfortunately, despite my precautions, one fell over and ended up shooting straight between two houses about 10 feet off the ground. Luckily no one was hurt but it sure looked impressive.

I absolutely despise the use of fireworks for gender reveals.
