Keeping it vague / non-specific is absolutely fine.

Otherwise we'll end up with things like:

"he gently nudged the Pleasuremaster 3000 MKIV into my sopping pussy, and I could feel my orgasm starting to take hold."

That's a turn on!

Have you got a link for this?
Quote by WSCLG
Not sure if this has been asked before, but here goes:

Is there a way to add or include the red menu bar at the bottom of the page?
Or possibly a Top link that can return the reader to the top of the page?

Typically, when I finish reading a story, scoring it and leaving a comment, I'm left with scrolling back to the top of the page to get back to the Home page or where ever I want to go. Using my computer (laptop or desktop), it is easy. Just hit CTRL-HOME and poof - I'm there. But, when using my iPad or iPhone, i have to scroll back up. If I use the back arrows, as many of you probably know, it takes you through numerous pages to get back.

Just a suggestion. Nothing in the grand scheme of things. Thanks for consideration.

To instantly scroll to the top of a page in Safari on an iPad or iPhone, just tap the status bar at the top. smile

Y'all make sure you're both women before you go meeting up with anyone. Psychos abound. Use common sense and be safe.

This.

Especially if you're pregnant.

Pelvic floor muscles are a critical part of a healthy body and can affect health and happiness in many ways. However, tools to help women exercise and manage them are extremely lacking. kGoal is a revolutionary new smart Kegel trainer: it is a device + app that provides a fun, interactive platform to guide, measure and track your pelvic floor exercise. It's like having a personalized gym, physical therapist, and tracking system in the palm of your hand!

Would you try it?

I don't think lush is ready for my inflatable sheep story set in the Appalachian Mountains.

That reminds of a story you told me once. You know, that time you robbed a bank wearing a lime green thong and nipple tassels?

You rode in on the back of a sheep that you'd spray painted luminous pink. You were wearing a Patrick Swayze latex mask, and had a gun in one hand and a four-foot inflatable cock in the other. As you stashed all of the money in your revealing undies, you shouted at the top of your voice the most foul obscenities known to man. Before leaving, you took the time to urinate in the potted plant in the corner of the room before turning to the CCTV camera on the wall and nonchalantly saying,

"Try recreating that for TV, you fuckers."

(Did that really happen?)

Thanks for the help guys.

Hi Gracexxx,

If you were submitting it to one of the Mickey Mouse erotic story sites on the internet, you'd probably be looking at about 8 weeks.

We try our best to process them usually within a few days.

Welcome to Lush smile

oh crap I have to go.

1. I have 2 sons
2. I live on my own
3. I hate steak and chips
4. I drink Fosters lager

I'm gonna say number four. Who the hell drinks Fosters?

1. I once broke a guy's nose in a nightclub for grabbing my ass
2. I've had a drink with Craig Charles (Lister from Red Dwarf)
3. I was named after a fictional character
4. I had salmon for dinner tonight

Edit: This is what happens when you don't read something properly! I thought this said 'I ate steak and chips'.

Most women shave as a part of their regular grooming/hygiene routine. It's not very common for a woman to just not shave or at least trim down there...that's just the norm.

I'm curious. If the woman already does shave down there, would it be an act of submission simply because a dom commanded her to do it? I would say not...apart from the dom declaring it so for validation of his dom-hood, I guess.

But this isn't my lifestyle...just an opinion of mine. Feel free to dismiss it on those grounds.

The real question is: can you shave it into the shape of a bunny rabbit?

Hi BiMale73,

Please excuse my ignorance, but what link should I click on and where is it?

Thanks

Abi

You can use those keyboard shortcuts on any link that you would like to open in a new tab.

For instance, if you are looking at this page and wished to check your messages without closing this page down, you can hold down on your keyboard either CTRL or CMD (depending on your operating system) and then click the message icon on the top bar.

This will work with any link.

I understand. So, I ask again,

I believe both myself and BiMale73 have covered this for you.

The impact of any automated hits is likely minuscule, and I'm sure impossible to filter out of the server stats.
Quote by Possibly

No, I understand your point quite well. Just to clarify, I turned on the setting 'only members can vote on my story'.

And no, I think there's a little confusion with my 'suggestion'. I'd like to see two percentages on the story:

1. Votes-to-views to show how many people are moved to vote.
2. Comments-to-views to show how many people are moved to comment.

I simply used two examples of 'votes-to-views' to show the percentage outcomes. I am not looking for a vote-to-comment percentage.

Question: What is the definition of a view? Is it how many times someone 'reads' the story? Or is it how many times the page's been hit?

It doesn't matter, the same principal applies. You would still need to eliminate all 'views' that were unable to vote, in order for any stat to tell you anything.

Let's say you had 1,000 views on a story, but only 100 of those were from people actually capable of voting on it. Let's also say that all 100 people who clicked on it, read it and scored on it. Your 'votes-to-views' stat should be 100%, but in reality it would show only 10%. That's because it is still taking into account all the people that viewed the story from the mobile site, from the android app, etc...

In answer to your question, it would obviously be page hits (most likely unique) because a computer is never going to know if a story was actually read or not.

That makes sense, but if I understand Plunger's post correctly, then the site says he's still in the chat room (I guess under the "Who's online?" link on the chat index page) when he's not and can't get in.
Perhaps it's a cache issue.

I tested this myself and it logged me out fine. Not sure why it would still show him in the room if he navigates out.

Possibly a cache issue.

Opening any other pages in a new tab solves his problem though smile

I've been called a slut. I remember the first time was high school. I was like guys can't be sluts. Turns out we can be. I'm not saying the number because every time I'm asked this question and I answer it truthfully women seem to get pissed off or stop talking to me. So I'm going to say a gentleman never tells. As for what I think a slut is. A slut has nothing to do with how many people you have had sex with but how you act during sex. If a chick has had 1000 dudes but just lays there she is no slut, a ho she maybe but no slut is she. Now say a woman is with her first love-mate but she doesn't care how she looks when she works that cock and works it till one of them faints then she my friend is a slut indeed. And it should be seen as a compliment.

Come on, how many girls have you slept with?

Enquiring minds wish to know.

Wow, that's interesting, Liz. So if I'm understanding you correctly, you're saying that this site awards stories for automated bot and crawling search engine activity?

If this is the case, then what's the point of counting views? (Just curious)

And by the way, I simply made a suggestion. I did preface it by saying that I thought I was reaching. But the information coming out of the discussion is pretty darn interesting. Thank you, Liz.

I think you've missed my point somewhat regarding the stats.

If I've understood your original post correctly, you would like to work out what percentage of people reading your stories are actually commenting. You've also stated that you have your stories set to only allow comments from registered Lush members. In order for these stats to make any sense, you would need to disallow all 'views' on your stories where commenting was either not possible (non-registered members and mobile site viewers), or not applicable (automated hits from bots or search engine spiders). If you don't, you'll will have polluted your calculation and will never have any kind of representative sample.

As for the bots/spiders, I'm sure in the grand scheme of things that their impact on the figures is miniscule.
Quote by BiMale73

Sure, but if he's still considered to be in the chat room he should be able to get back in of course. Ohterwise it's a bug and you could have a crowded room full of people who can't get in

When you navigate out of a chatroom to another page on the site, you leave the chatroom. That's how it's set up.

Perhaps it was programmed this way because not everyone uses the little exit feature. If it kept you logged in, the rooms would quickly fill to capacity with redundant sessions.

Often in a chat room I see someone interesting, but when I move to her bio I can't get back to the chat room. And even though it shows me in the room if the are at a maximum occupancy I am still unable to get back , very frustration!

Why don't you open their profile in a new browser tab and stay in the chatroom?
Looks like he deleted his account sometime in the last week.
For the security-minded, how about an option to enable two-factor authentication for login?

There are some existing apps which it could probably be integrated into, e.g. Authy.

Okay, I might be reaching, but here goes. Would it be possible to see the percentage of votes to views and the percentage of comments to views? I think that these percentages tell a story.

“What story,” you might ask. Here it is...Based upon my setting ‘only members can vote on my stories’, here’s my take. Views alone are great; however, I want to know the percentage of individuals moved enough to vote and comment on the story or poem.

Here’s an example.

My story Brown has 13,618 views with 81 votes. Now the numbers sound great; however, when I examine the percentage of people who viewed it against those moved to vote, it tells a different picture. .59% of people felt moved enough to vote. (Not so pretty.)

Here’s another example.

My poem Daily Head - A Sonnet has 1200 views with 90 votes. This yields a vote to view percentage of 7.5%. My poem moved more people to vote than my story.

Thanks for the consideration.

I don't think you're ever going to get any sort of meaningful statistic like this. To do so, you'd have to filter your story views to just those by Lush members. Not sure that would be possible.

Some of those 'views' are likely to be search engines crawling the site, or other such automated bots. You also have to consider that a huge chunk of this site's web traffic is through the mobile version of the site.

Would these figures really be representative? I don't think so.
