This is absolutely perfect.

OMG! My ribs! My ribs! Damn you Liz for making me laugh so hard my ribs are now bruised.

With the recent push for collaboration and excitement about collaboration, I think it would be amazing if a notice went out to the followers of both authors. I would love to get a notice that one of the authors I follow collaborates with someone. Especially if it exposes me to a new author in the meantime. I know I have missed collaborative efforts of my favorite authors and I love the section of the profile for collaboration pieces but I am not on everyone I follows profiles near often enough.

Just an idea.

That would help a lot as most authors don't have the same list of followers. Sure there will be some overlap, but so what! It's better to get the word out to as many as possible.
Thongs because they don't show a panty line & I personally find them very comfortable. Normal for those few days a month good old "Aunt Flow" is paying me a visit.

As we are tinkering with badges, I would like to suggest that those ranked 1, 2 or 3 in a story competition get a indicating that in gold, silver or bronze and that those who were the remaining in the top ten get a finalist competitor badge. It would be good if these could be awarded retrospectively just as the number indicators on other badges are being done.

The competitions here are fierce and those in the top ten in each contest deserve some kind of recognition as well as the winners and seconds and thirds. This information also could be listed with the competition information after it closes for readers looking for something interesting to read.

I couldn't agree more! Especially with the finalist competitor badge. So often those who place in the top 10 (or 12 as was the case in our last comp) get overlooked or forgotten about because all the love goes to the top 3 winners.

You are quite correct. These numbers are just placeholders until the badge process runs. This is normally around 4am UTC for the keen viewers at home.

Thank you for this Gav. I was confused when my Timeline said I was awarded my Famous Story badge until I realized it was for the updated version. These numbers make it much easier to see what we've earned.

Oh, yeah, I remember the Gray Davis thing. And, yeah, if we were to recall Trump, we'd get Pence. Maybe if it came to that we can get a two-fer, but who would take over then?

Not sure and that's why I mentioned Arnold... we thought he was a step up, but it wasn't.

Thank you for saying that, but really, we can't just impeach him, so what's left? Believe me, our POTUS is an elected official, but we can't just 'un'elect him. All we can do now is give him a chance. If he fucks up bad enough (placing bets, I'd rather see Pence in the drivers seat...still don't like Hillary :-) ) then we can impeach him. Time will tell, but until then, pray sister, pray. I know the rest of the world is looking at us and wondering why we voted a clown into office. xx

Actually, we can in a way un-elect him. It's called a recall election. It's a huge undergoing but it can be done. An easy example is when California recalled Gray Davis in 2003. Now, we did get screwed with Arnold Schwarzenegger, but that's the risk you take with a recall, you might get someone worse.
I know others have said it before... but FUCKING CANCER!!!

I know cancer knows no age, gender, religion, race, sexual orientation, etc.... but FUCK YOU CANCER!!!

He was my friend, my first love, and a man who had endured more than most. How dare you cancer!
Don't make me choose... you will not win. You will not like my choice. Either accept that I have a relationship with him, or move the fuck on. If you make me choose between him and you, I will choose him because he isn't making me choose.
In honor of the new Collaborator Badge (thank you again Nicola & Gav), I thought it would be nice for those of us who have collaborated to share who we worked with and who we'd love to work with.

Since I'm starting this thread, I'll begin.

I've done three awesome stories with Adaigo, two of which have earned RRs (one for me, one for him) and I'm currently working with WSCLG on a piece that is stalled because I just haven't had the time to work on it. That's the real challenge with collaborating... both parties having the time to work on the piece.

While I'm open to work with anyone, my time is really limited. Though, I'd love to do a story with Buz, Liz, Sprite, ChuckEPoo, or Mysteria. Those fine folks have got a grip of talent and I'm hoping some of it would rub off.

Would it be possible to add a edit button to your blog. So many times you have made a typo and have to write it all over again. Or you would like to add something, and a edit button would make it so much easier. Thank you in advance.

This would be so nice because deleting it and rewriting it or doing the copy/paste is a bit of a hassle.

Like buttons on forum comments!

Maybe something this for posts we like:

And this for posts that annoy us (this is for a certain whiny troll)

Now, in all seriousness, I do thing a "Like" button for forum posts would be a good thing.

Could the rules about forum signature sizes be re-enforced please? Many people, including some mods, these days have signatures that exceed the 150px height (total) stated in the Lush Guide to Forum Signatures.
I know it's possible to hide them all, I just did, but I'd rather leave them on if many they weren't so huge.

On the heels of this, it would be nice if we could preview our Forum Signatures. Right now I have to have two windows open to make sure it looks the way I want it to while still keeping within the rules that Noll shared above.

Don,t be nasty. Don,t forget if it wasn,t for us you,d still be living in wigwams or should that be teepees.

You say that like that's a bad thing.

Oh yeah... because of "us" as you put it... millions of people were slaughtered and striped of their culture. Maybe you need to look a lot closer at what really happened and not just what you believe happened.

See? I didn't hand you your arse, as you said in your comment on Beribboned And Bowed. Apparently the word "hijinks" only applies to happy, silly things and not darker twist endings, which are still a sort of hijinks,on the subject (or victim) of the twist.

Anyway, very happy for you, as I am for all the winners and honourable mentions.

I was sure you had. Your story was very well written... but clearly I was wrong... the judges saw things much differently. However, I thought your story was incredible and the twist at the end was simply genius.
It's so nice to see Sprite back and writing again. And WTG naughtyannie and Burquette! You really set the bar high!

OMG! I made the top 12!!! Now I feel like like my mojo is back and stronger than ever. I'm so honored to be in this list with these amazing authors... and thank you for my RR!

I made the Top 12!!!

Oh I don't actually care... if a guy wants to suck another guy's cock... so be it.

I see that all contributors to a collaboration are now eligible for the badge regardless of who actually posted the story. Great work, Gav. The way you executed this change and how it is displayed is just top notch.

I was so stoked when I saw my Collaborators badge on my timeline & page! Knowing how much work goes into a co-authored story on both sides, I'm so happy that both parties are now recognized. This plus the fact that the stories now appear on all collaborators pages is a change that was long overdue and thank you Gav so much for doing this and Nicola for approving this.

I'm sure we'll see a lot more amazing collaborations in the future and I for one can't wait to see with the amazing Lush authors will come up with.

The way is is today, a story has a single author but can have multiple co-authors. Its these co-authors who are credited with the Collaborator badge.

Does it make sense for the author to also receive this? I guess?

As an author who is currently being denied this because of this current rule... yes! I authored 1 and co-authored two (I checked!) Please Gav... this will encourage more collaborations.

I think the "Collaborative" badge would be a great one. It throws the author who's not the author of record a little bone, and it also might inspire some fun collaborations. It's very easy to hunker down and get in a certain rut, writing your own stuff (nothing wrong w that), but I've had a lot of fun and learned a lot in my three collaborations, all of which took different forms, w VirgoGo.

That is, the badge might produce a very positive kind of response as people who are motivated by such things (me included) look to earn it.

The new badge should be available now to the lucky recipients. Now with any new badge, its surely going to annoy the current crop on Omni holders lol

Does this mean those of us who have already done a collaborative story will be getting this? Adaigo and I have done three, one is on my page and the other two are on his.

Granted, if I'm reading your story and I think it truly sucks, for whatever reason, I'll just stop reading and not comment or score, but I would imagine that there are at least some readers out there who feel somehow wounded by having been 'forced' to finish reading a story that did nothing for them, and those readers are probably the ones who give low scores. Wouldn't call those readers "score bombers". And I really doubt that there are readers who actively seek out stories that they know won't appeal to them with the active intention of giving a low score.

I think if someone writes a story that in my opinion is "that bad"... I'd at least send them a PM telling them why. I agree with you on the not voting or commenting. At least a PM is just between you & the author and maybe (just maybe) they'll fix whatever is wrong.

I will admit a few friends have sent me PMs about minor mistakes they have spotted in my stories that got past myself and a Mod or two (proof we are all human.)

Just a thought.

Oh yeah... though not here... I have experienced those "score bombers" who seek out stories they will hate on other sites... and they leave the nastiest comments. I'm so glad those jerks don't visit Lush.
