Good job here, sprite.

Might I add:

Then and than, too and to, there is a difference.
Be careful with breath and breathe.
To make a word plural do not use 's; it's either s, es, or ies. (stories not story's; 's refers to possession)

Read your story out loud to someone. Their ears or yours will likely pick up some issues.

That last one is really helpful. I can't tell you how many times either I or the person I'm reading something to catches the mistake.

Another suggestion if you miss silly spelling errors is to read the story backward. This forces you to look at every word individually. As Mods and any one who has written for any length of time knows, we miss our own errors becasue we know what we meant to write.
Holy Shit Girl! When do you fucking sleep?

Seriously Mysteria... you're an awesome writer. And to think... I was happy when one of my stories (and so far only one) earned the Famous Story status.

Pizza. Easiest way to cook... pay someone else to do it for you and deliver it to your door.
Happy Birthday Milik! What a better way to wish you a happy birthday than with Minions!!

Though you and I had our differences... I did respect you and what all you did. Lush will be lesser without you. Good luck Callisto.

Thank you for asking and clarifying this! I do wish I had known this sooner... but knowing now is better than never knowing. Thank you again!

Chuckepoo has said it often, with me as an echo. I'm asking again.

It would be wonderful to delete things from one's timeline, because they are not of any interest, or even perhaps because they are offensive. Or simply just because I don't want to see them there....

Some timeline items are useful once, like when you're quoted in a forum. Once I'm aware of that, it would be nice to delete it, to declutter my timeline....

Thank you for considering it.

Considered and actioned. Let me know if you have any issues with it.

I know I said it before... but once again... Thank you Gav for this.

On font colors. I am dyslexic. Some colors are just fine such as medium or dark brown and red (but annoying). I can even read purple as long as it is dark enough. But medium and light blues and in particularly green make me want to scream. Those colors seriously jumble up anything I am trying to read so badly that if someone used them in their bio and all, I would have to completely ignore them. And I would ignore orange on general principal.

Buz, I wish to thank you for bringing this up about the font colors. Many people don't realize (or know) that many dyslexics have trouble reading certain colors. While the black on white is an obvious one, as you mentioned, medium and light blues and green are really hard for you. Others see these just fine and can't deal with pinks and reds (just an example.) I know there is research that has been done using colored vellums for print text and the major key to this one is finding the right color that will work for the individual. In your case Buz, I'd guess a green one would be out of the question.

Now, I will say that the better the colors contrast, the easier it is to read. A light color on a white background is difficult for many to see and read. However, a dark color and say a black (or very dark) background can be equally as challenging.

Well... I now vote with my husband... as in... we go to the polls together. We also did early voting because we could & we didn't know what his schedule for Tuesday would be.

Where I live, we have the "None of the Above" option on our ballot. I voted because there were questions (or propositions) on the ballot that I wanted to give my opinion. Sadly, the one I opposed passed anyway... such is life and elections.

Hillary Clinton lost.
Donald Trump won.

Such is life and elections.

As you can see I've added the captcha validation to send a friend and PM requests. Let's see if this stops or at least slows them down.

I hope we don't get to the point of having to remove the free bronze membership to stop these spammers. However I'm seeing lots of people leave the site because of them. Its not a great look having these messages being circulated through your internal systems.

I saw this earlier and wondered what it was about. Nice to know it was your magic once again Gav. Thank you!
When I first joined Lush, I came across a series called Wife in Bondage. Sadly, the series and the author have long since left Lush and as far as I know he has not reposted what in my opinion was a great story. He ended it with a less than "happy-ending" that left an open ending and at first spun me. However, it was this ending that made me want more. I found that the ending was exactly what the story had foreshadowed and was nothing shy of a perfect fit. I did ask him if he was going to continue it and he had said he was... then one day he and his amazing story was gone. I have "ended" the story since then but I don't know if what I came up with is even close to what his ending would have been.

Tragic or unhappy endings are part of real life and sometimes, they must be written as such. A well written tragic or unhappy ending will be embraced and accepted. I'm sure your story will do great.
I was privileged to work with the Marines as a member of the US Navy. I am also blessed with two Marine cousins, one who is still active and one who is retired. While I may at times joke about who they work for (they are under the Department of the Navy for those who don't know), I do have the utmost respect for any man or woman who has ever worn the uniform of a Marine.

Once a Marine, always a Marine. Happy birthday to my brothers & sisters who are the few, the proud, the Marines.

When I receive these I report them immediately. It's the only way this shit can be stopped. This is why the "Report Message" is available as well.
Thank you for sharing this poem. It give true light to the D/s relationship and not the nonsense that some wannabe erotic writings want to share. It does shed a true light on these relationships and how they can grow into so much more.
Wow... I've written so many strong female characters that it's a tough choice. However, there are a few that come to mind:

Yvonne from Labyrinth of Lust explores her sexual fantasies by partaking in a town's strange ritual.

Bella from Getting Even takes back her control after her cheating husband pushes her too far.

Phoebe from The Microbrew is strong, independent, and follows her heart.

Crystal from Journey Through the Rabbit Hole never took any shit from anyone and wasn't afraid to stand up for herself.

Angel from Cala de Sirena is high my list of favorites. While the story has its main focus on Don, she is critical to the story and the series.

Hailey from Hailey's Vacation is also high on my list of favorites because she is very reflective of me.

These ladies have made me very proud and while I could add more, I think this is a good list of characters who have grown into their own and become more than just a character in a fictional story or two.
The few times I've had a story rejected, it was fully my own fault and it came with advice how I could fix it. Some have been due to a word limit issue (something I did in my early days on Lush), while others were due to too many grammatical errors & it was a comp entry so the Mods really can't fix it for me (which I totally respect btw!!!)

I'm grateful to our Mods who catch my stupid typos and fix them when they can. I'm also grateful to the members who PM me when typos get past me and a Mod or two so I can fix it quickly.

The only stories I've pulled were stories that violated Lush's TOS. Those were posted out of ignorance (and in my early days of being a member) and because it would be too much to fix or change, I pulled them. I don't blame the Mods for doing their job... I thank them.
No. If one of my stories is "missing", it's usually because an error has been found and I've resubmitted it after I've fixed it. I've got one in the vault because it's a Lush exclusive, and the rest are up and if someone wants to vote it down, so be it. I just hope that said voter gives me a reason as to why they would score me low (as in a 1 or 2). Perhaps it's something I can fix.
I use the same username for all my writings so that way those who like my writings can see that I'm more than just an erotica writer.
I get them all. Requests come in the form of comments that say things like "what happens next?" or "I hope there's a sequel coming soon." Advice and suggestion usually come in the form of private messages. I'm never offended by these and honestly I appreciate when someone catches an error or has a suggestion. It's how I've become a better writer over the years. Being able to bounce ideas with other people helps me see what will work and what won't. I've had those who call my writings crap and other horrid things, and those I ignore (plus, they aren't from members here, but from a different story site that has very low standards.) When I get a legitimate suggestion, I do take it seriously and if I can incorporate that into my piece, I do. Sometimes those suggestions find their way into a different story.
All I can say is I knew you before you were a Mod... and I'm proud to still call you my friend.

Hello Baffled VirgoGo,

Is it possible that two of your votes came from members who have since deleted their accounts? It's the only other possible reason I can think of.
