I don't think trolls are unaware of what they are doing.
They're not. They do it for the shock factor or the attention. Nothing more. Trolls think they are smarter than everyone else and maybe some are a bit higher on the intelligence scale, but in the end, for those of us who have chosen to not view their nonsense any more, we will be much happier and the site will be much more enjoyable.

Personally I've always had a soft spot for his song, 'Amazing'. Gold Digger is an obvious mainstream classic as well, but 'Amazing' just has that vibe.

To answer your question... yes... I've never heard of Stronger until you posted this video. What I know about Kanye West is that he's arrogant & married to Kim Kardashian. Hmmm. I think it already exists in my house. I tell him to get his lazy ass out of that damn recliner and weed the garden. He just ignores me.
Think about this sexy lady... if it cuts down some of the drama and bullshit... it's all worth it. Honestly... I only have issues with a tiny number of members (I could count the number on one hand) so I see this as a major drama reducer.

If the mod has someone blocked, however, I think it will work the same as it would for anyone and we will have to intentionally unblock the message to see it. I only have ever blocked 2 people, and I believe one has since had his account suspended/deleted, so I'll have to wait and see.

Valid point... however, I think the Mods should always be able to see what is posted, otherwise you get those unscrupulous & short-lived members who try to spam the forums.

I'm not upset! I've been doing a happy dance since I learned this! I think Gav did an awesome job. People need to just accept it for what it is and
I'm also aware I'll still see if someone I've blocked quotes me in my Timeline... but since that's done for the sole purpose of baiting & shit stirring... it will be much easier to ignore. Perhaps in time Gav can solve this problem. He's done such an awesome job already.

Lol as Keira just demonstrated now what will happen is that she will wonder every time I post after her if I said something about her.
I know sometimes Keira gets really "tired" and posts barely coherent gibberish but I actually agreed with a couple of her posts in this thread. I kept it to myself initially though because she wouldn't be able to see it.
Kiera... stop feeding the beast. The block works just fine. If others want to quote someone you've blocked... so be it. That is their choice. Don't waste your time & energy quoting someone you've blocked. You are negating the purpose of the block.
Personally, I'm good with what Gav has done & I think this will solve a lot of problems and reduce the drama in the forums thus making the Mods job a tiny bit easier. I mean, our amazing Mods work hard enough to make Lush great so something to reduce their stress & workload is always good.

I guess it does somewhat remind me of Lush, though until you said something, I hadn't really thought about it. I did see it as a tragic side to too much technology and the loss of human interaction. We as a society have become so entrenched with our electronic devices, we often forget there is a real world out there. I have seen this in my students when we talk about things, often a YouTube video is mentioned. My students forget there is life beyond a smartphone or a tablet.
While I in no way shun technology, I will admit it has taken a stronger hold of my life at times than I care to admit. It's how my husband and I reconnected. That being said, I've enjoyed many a day where I pretty much unplugged and saw the world.
