Loved the story Trinket! Love the fact you're bringing awareness to this real problem!
I'm on the right side, he's on the left. Most nights I lay my head on his right shoulder and "evil chest of sleep". It's quite honestly the fastest way I can get to sleep most nights... and sometimes when I can't sleep in the middle of the night.

In regards to a Facebook-like hard block feature, this has been brought up several times in the past and the answer has always been no.

Gav doesn't like dipping into the forum coding, as it's a separate software and not something he created, and it's quite messy.

Perhaps in the future this idea can be explored further. But for the time being, a hard block such as the one on Facebook is not likely to happen, especially not in the immediate future.

**To whom it may concern: Any issue anyone has with any member in particular should be brought to the attention of admin through the proper channels, (i.e. the Contact Us link). The site improvements thread is not the place for it.**

I made the suggestion about the "Facebook like" block because of the nastiness and other nonsense that has plagued the forums in the past. I used Facebook as the example because it was one most people are familiar with. Despite what some may think, it wasn't aimed at any one member. It's something I have privately spoken with other members about and it's one change I truly think will help Lush in the long run. I do feel that should Gav & Nicola decide this is something Lush should adopt, that Gav and his minions will find a way to make it successful.

I thought the purpose of this thread was to make suggestions on improvements that we, the members, feel are needed. By no means do I expect Gav and/or Nicola to enact anything RIGHT NOW. That's foolish. But, if it plants an idea that might enact positive change in the future, then that's what a thread like this is for.

EDIT: The Great & Powerful Gav has heard the cries of his people and given us the block! All hail Gav the Great & Powerful!
I stand by my suggestion for a stronger block feature... like the one Facebook has. I feel it would help cut-down on much of the nonsense that occurs in the forums. If Member X doesn't like Member Y, then one blocks the other and BOOM, problem solved. The only time you might (and I stress the term might) see a post from the member you blocked is if someone quotes said member.

Yeah; I don't want to block them from seeing me, or vice-versa. I want them to be blocked from posting stories or poems on the site, or anything on the forums. (Never posts on the topics anyway.)

Gotcha. However, I'd still like the option for a stronger block.

Posted before once, maybe twice-or-more

Same one I always ask for. Any way to delete a member who never posts on-topic & seemingly always posts to start trouble/fights with any given other member?? (Thanks, elizabeth, for the "template".)

"Staff" keeps removing & asking me to not repost in many threads, but I get thank-yous & other + feedback from members, so Staff can go stick another Staff up their rears![/B]

I think what you are thinking of is blocking members the way sites like Facebook do. There, if you block a member, they can no longer see any of your actions, posts, etc. and in turn, you will see nothing from them. The block on Lush is, in my opinion, too weak. It prevents members from sending you a PM, but does nothing for forum post or if said member posts a story or poem. This has more than once cause a problem. I'm sure some would like such an option for authors/members they don't care for.

However, if I have totally misunderstood you, then I apologize.
There is a second thread about this in The Lounge. https://www.lushstories.com/forum/yaf_postst46678_Playboy-will-stop-featuring-nude-ladies.aspx

I think Playboy is doing what they feel they must. I am sad they are changing the way the approach the pictures. I will admit to enjoying the "Rabbit hunt" on the cover. I think Playboy has done a lot of good over the years, and this change could either make or break them.

Either way (and yes... I said this before) I hope it works out for the best.

been fisted before. pretty sure that's my limit. giving birth just ain't my thing.

You are a strange one Sprite. Not sure if that's a good thing... or something to be feared.

I would have gone with green, myself.

This made me giggle. But I think you were right... they should use purple.

well, i practically float out of bed when i'm on my period and use cartwheels as my mode of transportation... doesn't every woman? but seriously, i agree. it seems as though commercials go COMPLETELY out of their way to not depict periods as they truly are. it's as if they think each advert brainwashes us until our next cycle - maybe they do, hmmm

You make a valid point about the brainwashing (though I question the quality of your cartwheels). Either that or women buy their bullshit by buying their products. I do know we forget the pain of childbirth, or so I'm told. I had one child and that was MORE than enough.
You're more bothered that they use a blue liquid instead of red, and you fail to notice how happy these women are when they are on their period. There is nothing happy or joyful about being on your period unless you were worried you were pregnant & you didn't want to be. Most women HATE being on their period. I know I do. I get crippling cramps that feel like I'm being kicked in the abdomen by a UFC fighter, I'm bloated, and trust me when I say few things fit right and everything hurts. Some women get extra horny at this time (I don't) and others get extra moody (bitchy) to the point of psychosis.

The stupid "blue" liquid is not my issue. How about some fucking reality in these commercials instead?! Show how much strength it takes to get out of bed and do what needs to be done when you feel like hammered dog-shit.

I'm sure some women are only mildly bothered by their period. However, I've never met any of them.
I know Playboy was known for two things: amazing writing and beautiful, naked women in tasteful poses. The idea they are taking the ladies out, or rather, changing the way they are featuring the women that will be photographed for their magazine is shocking. I've always thought their pictures were beautiful as were the women who were featured in them. I remember doing the "Find the Bunny" hunt on the cover with my friends. Some were easier to find than others.

Honestly, I hope this decision works out for the best.
Did you really think you had any so-called leverage on me by using a name I haven't used in years? How the fuck you tracked me down is beyond me... but do the world a favor and piss off! If you're looking for someone in that piece of shit family... there are plenty of others still using that last name you can contact. And claiming that you'll release "documents" if I don't call you back is so weak. Really... you're flattering yourself if you think I'm that stupid. If you were for real on any level, you would have left the name of a legitimate business using a phone number that we could have verified (which we tried, you slimeball), and you would have left your name. Either your a complete moron, or you've dealt with some really stupid people. Not that matters... I deleted your so-called threatening message and went on with my life.

Thank you for your kind words and the compliment on my balls (never had that before lol)!

Then I'm very proud to be the first.

We already have this feature. When viewing your messages, just click on the envelope to the left of the message and it marks it as unread.

Thank you for sharing this. I honestly did not know this and I'm sure I wasn't the only person.

Please don't judge my picture before you read my story.

I had testicular cancer so the balls you see are made of silicons.
I make this post to pay my respects to the women who suffer from breast cancer!

Now this is a man with not only an amazing set of balls... but some serious courage. Not too many men would share such a personal story.
I'd travel every summer, but I'd still work. I love teaching too much and I know I'd miss it. However, maybe I'd teach in a private school with smaller class sizes.
I remember when thinking we'd have flying cars, hover boards, and self-lacing shoes would be a reality by this date. Damn you Marty McFly!

True deception comes from those who only show their true colors when it's convenient for them or when it will serve them best.

Now, I'll be the first to admit that I'm neither a blue nymph nor a green fairy (shocking... I know.) Like many others, I don't think the avatar most people here use are really them, but a representation of them. Despite what some may claim or think... I've always been myself here as much as possible. I share my opinions, make jokes (that sometimes fall very flat) and read what others write. I've shared pictures and with those who have taken the time to get to know ME as a person, I've shared some personal details.

I've been deceived by one who is still here. I have accepted this element of said person and moved one. I won't say the deception was for a long time because to be truly honest, we were never that close to begin with. On the flip side... I've me quite a few awesome people here who I feel I have become friends with. Those relationships I have happily worked on and built up.
