I just came in...wouldn't have the guts to sit in Sprite's throne without permission. A beer would be good, thank you bartender.
And hello to everyone else. Been a busy week, so I haven't been in here much, but I have been thinking a lot about pure filth. And also wondering about the competition <rimshot> (err, I mean the drum kit sound effect, not any other sort of rim...just to be clear). Actually, not sure that pure filth is my strong point. My strong point at the moment seems to be writing a fair chunk of stories and then kind of running out of steam and starting something else. Maybe a deadline will help?
Anyway, hope everyone else is being inspired by the competition topic. Should be fun to read what people come up with.
Yep, congratulations to yet another Rump regular on officially attaining awesomeness. The rest of us will have to concentrate to make sure that the tone doesn't accidentally get raised around here...
In Hannah's honour (and because Mike is very kindly paying...or not paying, as the case may be), I might try a Hannah for the first time. And then maybe a beer to wash it down (just in case my body can't cope with the lack of alcohol).
Have a good weekend one and all!
Can't say it's ever been an issue offline - either I'm talking to people who don't care, or I'm talking to a woman who might care, in which case I'm likely hoping that she'll find out soon enough.
But online is a different world. I know that most men lie, so I assume that women will take that into account. So I usually add a couple of inches on and say that I actually have 12 inches...
Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over (this thread, that is...)
Sigh. I leave you guys alone for a bit and go to work and you start hitting the tequila. Actually, I don't mind that...what I mind is that everyone's nursing hangovers and I wouldn't mind a tequila. Oh well, I'll try to drink it quietly in the corner.
And I'd like to point out that any resemblance between that character in The Young Pope and my good self is purely coincidental!
Congratulations to the top three plus all the (extended) top ten. And a big thanks to Nicola, the judges, and everyone else who made the competition possible. Plus thanks to all those who welcomed those of us non-poets (some of whom turned out to be really good poets when they tried, and some...well, somewhat less good...) who joined in!
