I do see a problem. A LOT of the experience, know-how, and capital is within that 50+ demographic. So it might kill production in the economy if you removed all that which can't be replaced easily. Sure, you can read a textbook or manual, but how do you replace 30 years of hands on experience?

I just think this plan would leave a slow and steep learning curve for the economies new-look work force.
