To be honest, I thought I was giving an answer to a serious question, not being defensive. But I guess my attempts to be helpful were not seen that way. I think Ladyx's answer factors in to it too. Getting in to a geographic profile of NFL fans, and trying to come up with reasons for the results is a bit of a thread jack, so I'll leave it.
It's still preseason, so the games don't mean much right now, but the thrashing the Bills received from Washington makes me think it's going to be another long year for Bills fans. At least they don't have to deal with T.O. this year.

I just finished writing a story about a player from my university who is now playing American football in Denmark. Before I wrote the article, I had no clue there was even a league there, but apparently it does well.
I think part of the reason it hasn't caught on that large outside of the US, is that there are similar games in other areas of the world. (Rugby, Aussie rules football, etc) If I remember correctly, American football came from rugby, so it kind of makes sense that the "old world" would still prefer that game. There's probably also a bit of an anti-US backlash against the game, with people avoiding it specifically because it is hyped so much in the US.

Very interesting question which should get some heated results. That's a tough position to be in. I've never been in that exact situation, but if I was, I would encourage the bride-to-be to come clean, and let the guy decide whether he still wanted to be with her, before the wedding. I really like this idea. I'm not sure whether it's anywhere near the impementation stage, but I do think this could work. They would have to make sure that the glass could stand up to regular wear and tear, and do long term testing to figure out what happens when one piece starts to breakdown, since we all know that potholes aren't a high priority for repair. What would this systems version of potholes be? If I was designing the system, I think I would use the system's own electricity to provide heat to the panels in the winter, and reduce, or completely eliminate the ability of snow and ice to buildup on the roads.

I am more of a CFL fan than an NFL fan. I started following the NFL when my favourite player, Doug Flutie moved from Toronto to Buffalo, and ever since, I've followed Buffalo although I'm not an intense fan, and still like to follow other teams or story lines when they excite me.

For me I think I would have a harder time forgiving the physical affair, I expect my girl to have friends, and therefore emotional connections with men, but her body is only for me. Of course, it would depend on the depth of the emotional affair, and the likelihood of my partner interacting with that person again at work, or wherever she met him. Also, I think I would be more inclined to believe that she could and would cut off an emotional affair, than a physical one.
