how many members does Al Qeada have? Maybe a thousand? And you want to restrict the rights of one billion people because of one thousand who base their beliefs on some parts of the Musllim religion? That's like me wanting to restrict the rights of all Christians because a cult in the Detroit area planned to topple the government on instructions from God. It makes no sense.

Then, the Arizona argument. Are there enough legal immigrants who are willing to clean houses, pick fruit, and work in factories for minimum wage that if all illegal immigrants were gone, the economy wouldn't halt? Most legal immigrants are required to have better job prospects than that in order to enter the country.

Where you get the 70% approval for the bill, I don't know. The figure I saw was 64%. Whether most people want it or not, does not matter. It will only take one challenge to knock it down as being unconstitutional and descriminatory. And who knows how many lawsuits the state of Arizona will face once that ruling is made.

I prefer if they profile muslims. That may piss you and a lot of other people off but, I don't care. I lost friends at the World Trade Center. I'll walk though a scanner at the airport that shows me buck ass naked warts and all if it will keep one more person from being blown up like 09/11/01.

This attitude makes me very nervous. Maybe I don't understand it because I'm from Canada. I just find it very hard to understand how a country that supposedly prides itself on the freedom of all individuals can be so restrictive, and oppressive to people. It seems that people like you live your life in constant fear. And since you are afraid, you don't think logically, and you lash out against the people you blame.

19 people from an organization that twists the islamic religion attacked the world trade center causing horrific casualties. But to abuse an entire religion over the actions of 19 people is absurd. It's McCarthyism all over again. Only now it's followers of Islam, not the Communists that you are afraid of.

Yeah but he did ask for rock n roll too. How about some Sha Na Na?

Where?

The title of the thread is "Anyone else love a bit of rock n roll and doo ? No? Just me?"

I understand that as asking for rock and roll, or doo . But I guess that could be asking for a combination of the two in a single song.

It's actually represntative of how red-haired people are treated over here in the UK (obviously not to that extreme) but my God do they get picked on... and quite openly too...

I thought about that possibility, but how do you explain the US flags on the soldiers' sleeves?

Here's a tune to vibe out on while you sip whatever you got- or suck from the tap if you are Jebru. Love ya anyways- just so you know, you owe Anton $300 for the "opening" fee on that box of fine wine. It goes to a good cause, starting his investment fund. He calls it "Baby On The Way".

Cheers baby!

$300? Damn. Well, I guess that means no new textbooks for a while. And since I only entered the bar with $100 in my pocket, I'm going to come up with a plan to cover the rest. Hmm, play the piano in the corner? Or hit up the cougar at the end of the bar?
Very intense video. I see it as a statement against the Arizona immigration laws. But I could be wrong on that.
Yes, let's keep this place classy. And nothing says class like wine in a box.
When I was two years old, getting hit by a car saved my life.

I was crossing the street, and got hit by a car, broke my jaw, but didn't lose a drop of blood. The doctors were worried about internal injuries, and when they checked, they found a Wilms tumour, cancer on my kidney. So, thanks to getting hit by a car, I'm short one kidney, but still alive today.

Am I the only one that finds it weird all three posts are kidney related?
I know this is ask Ladies, but I'm answering anyway.
Highway to Hell- AC/DC
I think my best place would have to be Niagara Falls. Last year the street I lived on went right down to the falls, and whenever I needed to clear my head I would go down there and just watch the water rushing over the falls. In the winter the falls are really beautiful, and there are a lot less people around too.

The last part of the song get's cut off, but for some reason, I like this video the best. lol

and hooligans in the crowd dampen the fun of that experience as well.
Unfortunately, members of the crowd are a problem in any sport. It doesn't take many bad fans to ruin the experience. I've had more problems at Canadian Football games than soccer though.

My favourite soccer game was Canada hosting Jamaica for the world cup qualifiers. Game was pretty good, and there was a friendly rivalry in my section between the Jamaican and Canadian supporters. What I loved about the game though, was the very stereotypical, sweet scent of marijuana smoke wafting over the stadium. What else would you expect when Canada and Jamaica get together?

Jebru, after reading a few of your posts I get the impression that you tend to be the type of guy that falls into what I refer to as "the nice guy trap." Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm guessing that you are the kind of guy that tends to befriend women and then hope that they develop feelings for you after spending time with you?

If so, then the problem isn't trying to get out of the friend zone, but rather stop yourself from entering it in the first place. If the attraction isn't there from the beginning, then you will have a very, very hard time eliciting that attraction later on.

I'm not sure how to respond to that. I do believe that the more time a woman spends with me, the more she will like me, but I'm not sure that is much different than anyone else.

This thread is about the friend zone, and not my personal dating habits. However since you brought it up, I will briefly address what has happened to me in the past. Most of the time I have flirted with a girl, sensed some interest, but got relegated to friend zone before I made a move. In those cases, yes, I have hoped that my nice guy image would eventually win her over.

But I have also had it where I was friends with someone, with a little bit of a sexual tension, and something came along to change the way I saw her. I have never made friends with someone in the hopes they will eventually fall for me. It's not fun to be the friend of a girl you are in love with, and have to listen to her go on about guys. So, I would never intentionally put myself in that situation. But I also won't abandone a friend just because it gets emotionally draining on me to be her friend.
I think it depends on the girl. Some girls like to get to know someone first, before they truly let him in. Others, after confiding in you, and sharing their secrets with you, just can't see you any other way than as a friend. And they are also uneasy about the fact you know their secrets, so the relationship would be more intimate right from the start.

That being said, I think it is possible to get out of the friend zone. I just haven't ever been able to do it yet.
Getting blocked by a friend because she "accidentally clicked block when her boyfriend grabbed her boob."
I'm half way through War and Peace. I haven't touched it in a few months. The reason I haven't finished it yet? I've read 600 pages, and I'm only half way through. But I do plan on finishing it eventually.
To answer the question about my voting criteria, I don't vote very often. Stories are such a subjective thing, that I find it hard to give an objective rating to. If I read an exceptional story, I vote, and I comment. If it's not exceptional, I just move on without voting. Before every story was approved by the mods, the one vote was useful, because you did see some extremely bad stories. But now, with every story going through a moderator before going public, all the stories I've read have been above that level. As they should be, or why have the moderators approve them?
I saw this too. Someone gave a one vote on a story that the tag line clearly stated was about a girl living out her dirtiest fantasy. The story was well written, showing the conflict between this girl and her more repressed best friend.

In the defence of this one vote, the voter claimed that the story made it seem like the girl should be punished for her dirty thoughts, while the guys weren't blamed at all. This was definitely not what I got out of the story, but even if it was, I don't see that as a valid reason for a one vote.

Especially from a moderator, someone who is supposed to keep things fun on the site, and try to step in and keep peace when a petty situation like this comes up.
I like that idea. It seems less intrusive than a private message.
I think there is a huge difference between thinking of someone while you fuck your partner, and cybering. Cybering involves actually interacting with your fantasy person, which is far more intense than just having them in your head.
Looks like you have to create a new account. I can't log in using this account.
I agree with gav on this. It's not something that would need to be a separate function. But I would like a "Profile Updates" section to the recent activity. In my mind, this would include when they change any aspect of their profile, from adding new videos, to writing something different about themselves on their biography.
