After high school I applied for every military branch, scored great on all the entry tests. Went for they physical exam and learned I had scoliosis. Just enough to disqualify me. They even petitioned for an exemption which was denied. In retrospect my slightly wavy back was one of the greatest gifts I could have hoped for.
