Aren't those basically the same thing? The forum software we use on the site where I am an admin lets us ban people from a specific thread and that's my preference for someone breaking thread rules.
Bad headache: take a sick day or push on through it?
I think we just caught the edge of that storm. Got just enough snow to justify a pass with the shovel. It has been two or three weeks so I won't grumble too much this time. At least we aren't shoveling every other day like we were in January.
Darjeeling and a couple cookies.
I have a new story idea but I am kind of unsure where to go with it. It could be a wild fling romance thing or I could pull out the stops and get a bit weird with it.
Sadly and embarrassingly, yes. I wrote her a poem (a romantic one, not a dirty one) and handed it to her in public. She was one of the smartest girls in the school and part of the ruling clique. Needless to say, nothing came of it. Still think about her at times, though.
Of personality, intelligence, and physical beauty, what do you look for most in a potential partner?
Eek. That is not news you want anytime, let alone on your birthday vacation. Vibes sent. Hope the scans come back negative and she can focus on the thyroid.
Quote by Taco4x4 My current identity is very similar to the original. I do not want someone from Site A to find me on Site B, or Site C.
I have a regular name I use on most sites, including our non-erotic sister writing site. Like you, I deliberately chose not to use it here as part of keeping my presence somewhat separate from my regular online identity. So, yeah, good plan in principle.
Canadian singer-songwriter-keyboardist and occasional guitarist Gowan (full name, Laurence "Larry" Gowan) had a stellar start to his career, with a string of solo hits here in Canada before eventually becoming vocalist and keyboardist for American rock legends Styx. However, he is back out on tour solo right now and, dang, it's nice to hear him doing his own material again. (Not that that's been lacking in his Styx work. He's co-written a lot of their recent new material and his debut solo hit "Criminal Mind" has become a regular on Styx setlists.). From Pickering, Ontario, just East of Toronto, here's Gowan to liven up your morning. And (swoon) he's wearing a kilt.
One more. This is one of my favourite Gowan songs, originally sung with backing and harmony vocals from Yes' Jon Anderson.
On the one hand, I has a sad that we didn't get any hockey gold this year.
On the other hand, the finals were both good, dramatic games so I can't complain too much.
Bring on 2030!!
And what is it with the USA finally grabbing gold in events it's been shut out of for decades? Alysa Liu's gold was the first women's singles gold for the US since 2002. She's a damn fine skater, by the way. Alysa almost retired in 2022 (retired at 16, WTF???) so not sure what her plans are going forward. She's doing international relations or something like that at UCLA so maybe can parley her skating success into some kind of diplomatic career (US IOC member perhaps?)
I know where Iโll be on Sunday Morning and it likely wonโt be in Church. ๐ฅ ๐๐บ๐ธ
Hockey Morning in Canada has a nice, if weird, ring to it, eh (for non-Canucks, the CBC's Saturday night hockey coverage is known as Hockey Night in Canada).
Groan. Looks our break from winter is ending. After a couple days of rain and even thunderstorms, it is now snowing. And I have to go outside. Back to ye olde parka.
I've put on asbestos panties for this one, but am I the only one who couldn't give a flying f*ck about the Olympics?
No, there's probably a lot here in Canada who watch just the hockey games and otherwise don't bother. I enjoy figure skating and watch other sports out of interest or curiosity but I am hardly glued to my set
Congratulations Americans!! Close game well fought. Now on to the men's tournament. Semis are tomorrow with Canada meeting Finland and the USA meeting Slovakia. So another Canada-US showdown is a possibility though one can never rule out the Finns. They love hockey almost as much as we Canucks.
Did you get the job? What kind of job are you applying for?
Um, you're quoting posts from many years ago. Pixie is no longer around, I don't think (at least, I haven't seen her in a long time), and DirtyMartini passed away some time ago. But welcome to Rumps and Lush.
I don't really have any at present. Some celebs I am attracted to, mostly female rock and metal singers, but not at the level I would consider a "crush".
My biggest celeb crush back in day (teens, even twenties) was Brooke Shields. Found her quite attractive and we are the same age so fantasizing happened. Even had a romantic horror plot in mind with her as the female lead and me as the male.
