Saw an AWESOME Los Lobos concert this weekend. Nick Forster (of Hot Rize, for you bluegrass fans) sat in for a bunch of the set, and turned it into a bluegrass/americana/roots rock hippie jam-fest. They played a loooooooooong set.

Great story, Ms. K. Reverberates with so many political realities, particularly here in the U.S. I love how the wall overshadows everything, and you never let the reader lose sight of it. It took real courage to write that ending - thank you for sticking to your vision and giving us an ending the story inevitably deserves.

I can attest, Bill's latest on the azure site is a very nice slice o' life. Your characters are always as nice as you are, barkeep. How do you do it? I struggle to make my characters not sound like dicks. 
Except the betentacled ones, they are supposed to be dicks. How weird is it that two of my last three stories involve tentacled beasts? I gotta get out more.

Been there, and am there now actually. Two words: date night. Set aside a Friday or Saturday night to talk and reconnect, and let things develop. The most recent Shards, which are consecutively numbered to show there is a plot of sorts, have them buying a video camera.
