Cats or dogs?

Scary Stories to tell in the dark.
I watched the documentary "Scary Stories" first, which was about the books.
I was amazed that I never heard about these books.

Yet, another reason Canada is a great place to live. Canada’s Center for Disease Control (CDC) has recommended the use of glory holes. Oh, Canada!![]()
Gunna get me a new shower curtain tonight. Yippee!
Glad to see Father Ted is getting some love. I mentioned this show here a few years ago. Ms. Galore, I recall, was a fan.
Hockey playoffs start in less than two weeks. Golf’s first major (only 3 of the 4) will be played this year. Boreball snores in tomorrow, or whenever, who cares?![]()
Good reality distractions. We need some of that.
Barkeep, dark rum and coke, shaved ice, skinny straw please.

Would a wendigo not be supernatural, in the same way a banshee might be?

Would Ping's latest comp story qualify as "Strange Sex"? Genuine question - I don't really understand the proposed category.

Sorry to the OP to muscle in on your thread, but fortune favours the audacious.
I don't think there is any site that has this category. For anyone who knows me, it will be obvious what I would choose.
Strange Tales are stories that, while psychologically disturbing, cannot be classified as horror stories. They usually do not have the visceral shock factor of that genre. Neither are they fantasy, nor what has become "paranormal" — you know, teenage vampires, werewolves and their ilk. But what happens in such tales might be utterly fantastic. They are stories of subtle strangeness, everyday oddities that happen in the lives of ordinary people.
The poster boy of the genre is obviously Robert Aickman, though in recent years, with his growing following, many younger authors are exploring his his themes. Authors like the ones collected in this volume

So, please can we have a Strange Sex Stories category (pretty please?)

Well... that's a deep subject. Sump pit is somewhat shallower.
Dude. One drain's a sump pit, a well, a reservoir, a big zit, but not a pump. A pump is the device used for said draining. Sheesh.
Unless the pump is to make a penal unit larger.
NIPPLE.

I fancied reading some contemporary mainstream fiction in order to see where modern-day prose was at, to try to hone my craft for a modern market.
The reviews were good and so I went for this:
Seven Lies:
by Elizabeth Kay
According to the Amazon blurb, "The most addictive, page-turning thriller of 2020."
If that's the case, 2020 has so far not been a good year for thrillers.
It's okay, and I've nearly finished it. Having said that, a book has to be particularly bad before I abandon it. It has been a bit of a chore.

HANNA, Poison Ivy or Rogue.
Maybe even the female version of RoboCop.

Curvy's 'Tobias' series has just been designated by LUSH as an...
OUTSTANDING SERIES!!!!!
Now I'm wondering about the names, along with series titles, of other Rumplators who have also received that coveted award. (hint, hint)
Naturally celebratory drinks for the rest of the day will be put on Curvy's tab which means the tabs of Carl and Jeff. So whadda ya wanna drink?
