HUGS

Seems like 2021 is beginning with a series of speed bumps for the barflies of Rumps. My condolences Emma, for the series of sorrows among your friends and family. And I am sorry for your losses as well, Kimmie. When you said you were bracing for another tough year, I related - my Dad died Jan 3 last year, and it just seemed to color the rest of the year. Luckily, it colored it in ways both good and bad, and feel his life and his presence inside me, not due to any otherworldly heavenly construct, but just through memories and genetics and stories and dumb Dad jokes we both loved. I hope your loved ones live through you in a similar way. I found it comforting. Dragonfly, I'm sorry to hear of your losses as well. Glad you stopped in for a beer.

Tonya, don't take apart your littley's room. It's a holiday, take a break!

We saw an actual movie yesterday! In an actual theater! Promising Young Woman. Very good. Very dark. And it only reveals some of its secrets after some time to think about what happened. BIG recommend.

End of the new story is in sight, but I don't think I'll get there today.

Coffee would be swell.
Promising Young Woman as well. Very good, very dark. The ending is a real gut punch.
Sure, I'd hang out with him for a beer and a chat, if he's not tied up (I'll let myself out).

Ah, that’s sweet. Right! Those were funny. That last story was about two hillbillies. She used “mama’s” dildo on him but inserted it balls ‘n suction cup first. It got stuck. Went to ER for assistance.

Porn Again, Christian? had a fun twist at the end. The Korean grocery store where I bought my first titty mag inspired the setting. LOL.

Gill’s fav was Wilbur The Traveling Dildo Salesman. I recall Verbs genuinely liked a horror story called, Red Delusion, about a woman who was under the spell, chasing her next, best-ever orgasm with the help of her husband’s cuckolder, her bull, and their realtor. That story is being turned into a script. The isolated winter, Colorado mountain backdrop added the tension. Her parents, the levity. The hot tub, a really freaky, scary choke scene.

Yep, I loved Red Delusion. You kind of toed the fuzzy line between erotica and horror (and humor too). Too cool that you chose that story to flesh out (heh) into a screenplay.

5 days til Inauguration.

You know, generally, seeing Federal troops in the DC streets (and near every state capitol) would fill me with paranoia and fear. But at this moment in American history, I find them comforting.

Everyone please stay safe this weekend.

Coffee, Bill.
I was sending stuff out and came across this. They only pay in contributor's copies, but it's a start. I submitted to a horror anthology of theirs just now.

A beer would be thrilling.

PAY'IN 2 PLAY - ANTHOLOGY
From the World's Oldest Profession to a Favor for a Favor, and the classic Suga' Daddy scenario, pay'-to-play agreements between consenting adults have always existed, and always will.
DL Russell Books is currently seeking submissions for its themed anthology, Pay'in 2 Play.
Word Count: 1500 - 3500
Genre(s): Straight Erotica and all of its Subgenres
Pay: 5 Print Copies plus additional copies at cost.
A good story is the most important requirement, followed by the story's ability to turn a reader on. 3rd would be variety with the goal being for each story to tell of a different pay-to-play scenario.
At some point in each story the "agreement" must be conveyed to the reader.
Email Submissions to with "Pay 2 Play Submission in the Subject Heading

That's a great illustration Ping.

Well Bill I'm up for celebrating anything right now.
2 weeks left before the first full moon of the year. Woot!

When my kids were little my wife and I would drive to the bluff to watch the full moon rise nearly every month. We made a game out of guessing where exactly on the horizon the moon would rise. We all looked for that tell-tale glow just before the moon breaks past the horizon.

And I would tell them about how the full moon always rises just as the sun sets, like the two are perfectly balanced on a teeter totter, and you are at the fulcrum. I love that image. I love the moon. The thin crescent just after the new moon, hanging low in the twilight sky, is my favorite phase.

Some lunar juice please!

Good morning my rumpies fam.Hope everyone is doing well. The virus has hit close to home. My mil's sister tested positive which means my mil is quarantined and she was tested yesterday. Please send good vibes if possible.

Hard to believe but my grandbaby is one already. I have no idea where the time has gone. My littley is doing well. She went to in-person school for three days and says she is homesick. My younger son found out he is having a boy in June. Guess grandma is going to be loving the babies.

I'll take my tea and check out the comp results. Have a great day. Stay safe. Hugs for all.

Yikes! So sorry, T. Your littley is a trip, and brings such great joy wherever she goes. I'm sure grandbaby #2 will bring yet more joy.

Bill, I am WAY up for some kind of celebration of the Biden Presidency. We should all day drink and live-post our way through it. And as an Inauguration present, McConnell just might flip to yes on conviction, and if he does, the Senate will vote to convict too. What a GREAT way to begin the new year. Unlikely. But not impossible.

Writing well. My current story is pulpy 60s-ish sci-fi. Is this thing on? Hello? Tough crowd.

Coffee would be a poem. I'll be in the corner with the paper.
Yes. It was riveting (not).

Do you watch baseball on a regular basis?
He's a smart voice in the Forums and seems like a good guy. Dig the whole Ocean Cryptid thing.

Nothing gets me all tingly quite like listening to some eighty-year-olds drone on about politics. purrrr

Sometimes they spit out little bits of food when they talk. It's quite the turn on.

stumbles in already half-drunk

A round of drinks for everyone, Rump... on me!!

grabs Rump by his apron and pulls him into a lean across the bar...whispers in a whiskey-laden slur: You do assept Amazon giff cards, right?

EDIT... schlide my fucken tab to Verbal... love you, Verbs!

Love you two Tam. Congrats again. Let's cuddle up in the corner and listen to House impeachment hearings. Hot!

Keep em coming, Bill.

Just a coffee for me this morning, barkeep, black, but you can wave a sugar packet over it, then I'm off to Memphis for a wee bit of surgery. My doctor tells me that alcohol, among other things, complicates issues by making the bleeding worse. I told her I'd avoid the other things, but she's tough for such a little person. Wish me luck!

Godspeed Stormy! Pop in when you can drink again, I'll buy you a round.

Serious congrats to the comp winners. Tam, you are a goddess! Let us buy you drinks for the day! And Jaymal and Mags too. And Susie and Weird But Strangely Hot Bunny Girl and Starbelly and Vanessa! Starbelly, I have not read your stories yet but promise to soon.

Those of you who know me probably know this weird fact: I love to write with the baseball game on in the background. What I'm discovering yesterday and today is that impeachment hearings are kinda cool to have on in the background too. All the speeches, both parties: there's just something thrilling about democracy in action. It lends me faith.

The fact that all the speeches are limited to a few minutes is helpful. Don't like the guy talking now? Wait, he'll be gone in 5 minutes.

I'll be in the corner with the paper. Coffee please.
We started Bridgerton on Netflix. By started, I mean I suffered through one episode before I begged that we stop and watch something, you know, interesting. LJ liked it.

Old sit com watch: New Adventures of Old Christine is on HBO in a few days. Love that show. Can't wait to binge it.

Errand running all day so far. Just got back. Retirement is NOT supposed to be this busy. I'll try to get 300 words in today, but the sun will be down in two hours.

Not much else going on. I really like the story I'm working on now. Slime zombies, the Cold War, and NORAD!

I hope everyone is doing well.

Bill, ice water would hit the spot.
Morning all! Hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for the set-up, O Setters of Up.

The Mets brought out their checkbook and got a strong bat and a strong arm last week. Francisco Lindor and Carlos Carrasco. Gonna be battling with the Braves this year for the division. See ya at the ballbark, Sara. smile 79 days until first pitch.

And 9 days until Inauguration Day. I'm marking the days off the calendar and keeping the door locked.

I'll be in the corner with the morning paper.

Coffee would be a mercy, Bill.

Awww, Sprite and fellow commenters made Kimmi's day!!

I feel very warm and toasty inside from you all's sweetness. Thank you so very much. I really appreciate this kindness awarded me, Sprite! Very much!!!

I am a firm believer in the Laws of Attraction and do try to put out what I want to draw towards me. I must be doing something kinda right because all the people I have met here have been so kind, supportive, and encouraging. "Be what you seek," a good therapist told me.

My late mate brought me here 3 years ago, thinking I would benefit from Lush, and I did! Sadly, some know, he passed away Jan 2019, along with my best girl friend, in unrelated tragedies. Then, my writing frenzy began. Lush has been a welcome distraction, source of healing, and very happy place for me. I never imagined I would make real friends here with the most inspiring, creative people from all over the world.

Thank you and may we all have an awesome 2021!!!

That's a really touching anecdote about coming here, Kimmi. Lush helped me overcome a death of someone close too. There's something really life-affirming about writing erotica, and the community here!

Congrats, Kimmi.

I'm guessing you can relate to this:

Put it up on Amazon - all you need is the text and a cover - and display the link in your sig file.

I think you have to set a price though, minimum 99 cents.
I have not. Did one road trip to Oklahoma though.

Have ever taken a train trip with a sleeper car?
I can't fly a plane, so no. smile Everyone would die.

Can you pilot a sailboat?
I pay bills my mail if they change from month to month, so water, gas, electricity, yadayadayada. I want to see the amount they charged before I approve payment, and snail mail is the easiest way to assure it.

What's your biggest monthly household expense, besides rent/mortgage?

Most days I would say it's meaningless. The only thing meaningful I've done was create three beautiful children. Two of which are now making their own lives. My life is monotonous and quite boring. This past year I've lost myself more than I care to admit. I'm just here to do for others and make sure they are ok.

You have created meaning with the children you've ushered into world, with every person you've reached out to, and helped. I hope you find time to create meaning for YOU. You deserve it. Your life should NOT be boring. You are not boring.

Like T, a lot of meaning in my life in the past has been taking care of others: my wife, my Dad, raising my daughters. Now, with daughters turning 18, I am transitioning to a more me-based existence. I am finding meaning through reading and writing, through LJ, through the lens of my telescope, through whatever interesting I find in front of me. It's exciting!

I'm putting the shortlist together over the next few days for the judges.

A reminder to those contestants who deliberately try and gain an advantage by voting down other entrants' stories:

I can see who's voted on every story on the site, and which vote they have given out.

I remove all such malicious voting on stories and the people responsible get filed away in my memory banks as conniving bad sports!

A truly fitting punishment would be to tell us their names. But that's just my misplaced righteous anger over politics talking.

the loss kind of sneaks up on you some days..

Thanks for saying something nice, Sara. I hope you had an excellent birthday, with extra marshmallows.
Happy birthday, Sara! Thanks for inventing a brand new drink! And for your kind words too. I promise to keep all the crappy weather in my state for the next month!
